Riley Blake Designs Buttermilk Basics Blog Tour

Riley Blake Designs Buttermilk Basics are a perfect combination of colors and designs.
This fabric line is by Stacy West of Buttermilk Basin Design Co. and is perfect for quilts,
apparel, or home decor. They are 100 per cent cotton and are so soft and beautiful!

I loved how the fabrics looked in my quilt!

"Courage"
50" x 50"

Photos were taken in Hurricane, Utah, at the Hurricane Pioneer Museum

I used all the fabric I had by piecing the back.

Look at all these lovely fabrics in Buttermilk Basics!

I used five fabrics from Buttermilk Basics to create my quilt.

Buttermilk Basics Blocks Navy

Buttermilk Basics Diamonds Green

Buttermilk Basics Diamonds Yellow

Buttermilk Basics Fading Stars Red

Buttermilk Basics Morse Code Red

There are some adorable panels available that go with Buttermilk Basics, too!

I also used some of my favorite products to put "Courage" together.
Aurifil Thread, 40 wt., 2020, 2000, and nylon thread

Check out some more incredible creations using Buttermilk Basics!

  3. Hi Carol! Love these fabrics by Riley Blake. Of course, I always do. I was just looking at the Buttermilk Diamonds in yellow earlier this morning. I think it would be perfect for a project I'm thinking about. This is a great project. ~smile~ Roseanne

  7. Wow, that is so pretty! By carrying the sides out one more and the top and bottom two more, I could use it for American Hero quilts! I love your pattern, and the entire quilt. Those look like great fabrics I could work with for a long time. =) The museum is wonderful and that wagon featuring in a lot of pictures is just a perfect backdrop.

  8. The quilt is pretty (as usual ;) ) and as usual I love your photography. You really set up your pictures in ways that do the quilt and the setting real justice. Thanks for sharing.

  9. The email I just got had your Bernina machine pictured can you tell me if that is the Bernina 750QE ? I just purchased a used one and I can not get the presser foot to drop all the way down on to the fabric without pressing on the presser foot and beginning to sew it hovers right above it. Am I doing something wrong here?
    Thank you love your blog
