When breast cancer strikes someone close to us we usually feel the need to do something.
Offering our support comes in many forms including a meal, a listening ear, a laugh, or whatever is
appropriate for the person in the middle of their crisis. It's all about them...as it should be!
Quilters have big hearts and willingly share their love by getting creative with fabric, so
Madame Samm at
Sew We Quilt created the perfect hop to give us ideas for supportive creations.
I've been obsessed in love with the Alexander Henry Ghastlie Garden fabric that came out last
year and can't seem to get enough of sewing with it. With a little pink in it, I thought it was just the
right choice of fabric to use for my quilt and bags. I really do love those flowers!
A little zippered bag would be wonderful for stuffing with happy and positive thoughts
from friends and family. Madame Samm's little bra pattern just makes me smile when I see it!
Missouri Quilt Company has an easy tutorial for a zippered bag...

Hugs and Kisses For You!
I found this cute free pattern over at Windham Fabrics...
HERE.
It was beautifully quilted by Quilted Works.
A big pocket tote bag would be helpful for filling with snacks or whatever for the doctor visits.
Making it big enough to hold a small comfort quilt would be even better!
I hope to see the end of cancer in my lifetime, don't you!
