ThermOWeb Black Friday Sale All Week

It is a Black Friday Sale all week long at ThermOWeb, so now is the time to get those favorite products you love or have been wanting to try. Saving 30% is a great way to help you make those Christmas gifts and save money, too!

With all the applique projects that I make, my very, very favorite product to use for it
is the Heat n Bond Lite Iron-on Adhesive. It comes in large sheets for tracing or sheets that
are just the right size to run through your inkjet printer. That means no tracing!

Happy Shopping!

Blog Hops Are Coming, Blog Hops Are Coming!

Carla, Joan, and I have been planning blog hops for 2022 and we are really excited about the challenges we've come up with! We'd love to have you join us!

Look what's coming!

JANUARY'S BLOG HOP IS TAKING SIGN-UPS NOW!

Joan from Moosestash Quilting is hosting "Polar Bear Plunge" January 24-28.
Here's what she's saying about the hop and signups:

What is a blog hop?
A blog hop is like being a part of a quilt guild, but not leaving your house to participate or pay fees.
Participants "show and tell" their sewing and/or quilt related projects on their blogs with a related theme or challenge. You "hop" from one blog to the other following the list we share.

Who hosts our blog hops?

Carla from Creatin' in the Sticks, Joan from Moosestash Quilting and me,
Carol from Just Let Me Quilttake turns hosting the blog hops and themes/challenges.

What do I have to sew?

We post a challenge on our blogs and those who want to join in.

What information do you need from me to join a blog hop?

We need your name, email address, blog name, and blog URL. Your info is used for blog hops only
and is not shared or sold! After we get that info, we assign a date for you to post your project.

What do I need to know about posting on my assigned day?

We give everyone plenty of time to sew something.
It's important that you post your project on your day!
You can preset your blog post to go live any time after 11 p.m. Mountain Standard Time.
It's okay if it pops up early...that's better than being late.

If your project isn't quite done, show it anyway.

People remember if you're a no show...we don't want that!

Visit the other blogs in the hop. That's where you will gain some amazing friends.

Above all, have fun and enjoy the sweet fun of a blog hop!

We inspire each other with projects, tutorials, or patterns. Anyone can follow along!

Fun times ahead!!

Benartex Be The Light Quilt

Benartex has a beautiful line of fabric, "Be the Light" by Kelly Rae Roberts, that I had the opportunity to sew with. I love it! The three ladies, "Be the Light- Angels Light Yellow" (12993-03), called my heart with the sweet faces, colorful dresses, and inspirational words surrounding them.

The other designs in "Be the Light" have gorgeous butterflies and flowers, bright colors, and colorful stripes.

It was easy to get creative with all that beauty and make a quilt full of hearts. "Love Me Tender" has plenty of love with all those hearts!

Love Me Tender
47" x 63"

Lots of pretty hearts!

I used my Crafter's Edge to cut the hearts...so easy to fussy cut them!

Butterflies and flowers

Tonal Stripe Yellow (12997-33) made a perfect binding that looks sweet next to
my lemons that are getting close to picking time.

I love the Nouveau Dark Turquoise (12995-84) and Nouveau Dark Rose (12995-19) in the quilt!

As always, I used my favorite iron on adhesive, HeatnBond  for the appliqued hearts.
Isn't that a cute little iron by Oliso!

"Love Me Tender" is a free downloadable pattern you can find HERE.

It Is All About Blog Hopping With Mug Rugs

It is going to be an amazing week of mug rugs thanks to Carla at Creatin' in the Sticks and her blog hop challenge! I am so lucky to work with two incredibly talented ladies, Carla and Joan, who have what seems like never ending ideas to inspire our creativity in these blog hops. We are all excited to share our ideas for next year (coming soon.)

I wasn't sure about sizes for mug rugs so I looked it up on Google. Here's the answer about mug rug sizes that I found: "Mug rugs are typically any size between a 4 x 7 and a 12 x 8. They are known for being able to place your mug on with a tasty treat such as a croissant, bagel or cookie."

Treats for Santa, 8" x 12"
Free pattern found HERE

The non traditional Christmas colors show off Santa's feminine side.

The next two mug rugs were sewn with the quilt-as-you-go method.

5" x 8" mug rug with no pocket

6" x 9" mug rug with a pocket...are those girls just the sweetest!

Using Spray n Bond Basting Adhesive is a great way to hold the fabric in place
when getting ready to quilt-as-you-go.

A walking foot makes it easy to sew strips in place.

I love using my Oliso mini iron for small jobs like this!

An 8" x 8" mug rug with room for my tea and cookies works for me!

Using a Crafter's Edge cutting die made it so easy to fussy cut this teapot.

Sewing with Benartex fabric is always a pleasure and this time was no exception. My mug rugs are all made using Benartex's "Be the Light" by Kelly Rae Roberts and Cotton Shot by Amanda Murphy...such beautiful fabrics!

Look who's blog hopping this week with their mug rugs!

Thank you for stopping by!
