It's A Wild Life April Block Of The Month

Due to the holiday weekend, I'm releasing April's "It's A Wild Life" Block of the Month early!
I'm loving this adventure that was started by Amy at Sew Incredibly Crazy, aren't you!

So what is a "Block of the Month or BOM?

The Sew Incredibly Crazy design team creates blocks to share with you.
They are free the month of their release, but will have a small fee after that.
You sew the blocks we design using your own fabrics.
There's a theme to our craziness and we'd like you to be crazy with us, not off
on your own, so please try to keep your blocks looking pretty close to ours.

April's Block of the Month

I'm excited because it's my turn to share not one block, but two blocks!

The Quilt Ghosts Of Christmas Past, Present, And Future

As I was thinking of what to make for the Christmas in July blog hop, I was visited by
the Quilt Ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future who reminded me of all those
Christmas UFO's I've got waiting for me to finish. I guess I'd better finish one of them!

There's still some room in the Christmas in July Blog Hop if you want to play along.

This was one of my favorite Christmas quilts.

I love this one, too!

I think all of my Christmas quilts are my favorite and there just isn't
room here to show them all. I love Christmas!

Thanks for all the well wishes for my 10th Blogiversary!
The winner of the Quilt Taffy gift certificate is...

Tink's Mom! Congratulations, Selina!

10 Year Blogiversary March 2008

It's hard to believe, but 10 years ago today I started my blog to keep track of things I had sewn.
So I guess that means today is my Blogiversary!

I had bought a new sewing machine and it came with an embroidery module.
I found some great scripture embroidery patterns and decided to make denim quilts for
the Monkey Boys (there were only two back then.) The denim was so heavy!
These were the first quilts on my blog:

It's hard to believe these two guys were ever this small!

It's been ten years of blogging about quilts...wow!
Who would have thought I'd still be here and loving it.
I'm happy to have so many blog friends who've taught me so much
about quilting, sewing, and creating. Thank you!

In honor of this eventful and huge day, I'm offering a $20 gift certificate
from my blog friend's shop, Quilt Taffy. It's such a cute store!
Just leave a short and sweet comment to be entered.
Giveaway ends March 26 at midnight, MST.

Thanks to all of you for making this an amazing 10 year journey!

There's still room in the Christmas In July blog hop if you want to play along.

Yes, there's a new blog hop to think about signing up for...Christmas In July!

So...
I'm giving you plenty of time to sign-up and sew for the Christmas In July blog hop.

Are you in?

There will be five days packed full of Christmas ideas and projects.
That's a ton of Christmas inspiration!

The rules are simple, as usual:

Your project must include something about Christmas.
It can be a quilt, pillow, bag, toy, whatever, as long as it relates to Christmas.

Post your project on your assigned day.

Share The Love Baby Quilt Using Windham Daisy Chain Fabric

I grew up seeing Sunbonnet Sue on family quilts, aprons, and tea towels. My favorite
Sunbonnet Sue quilt was made by my great-grandmother who we called “Danny.”
I loved her heavy Norwegian accent and enjoyed watching her knit, embroider, and make quilts.
She was so gifted with her sewing skills! One thing she didn’t have was Heat n Bond EZ Print Lite
sheets to speed up her work on applique projects. I just slip a sheet of it into my inkjet printer
and ta-da, my applique designs are ready to be ironed on my fabric. No tracing!

Share The Love Baby Quilt

Everybody needs a little love and Sunbonnet Sue is making sure this little pig is getting
some special attention. The applique designs and quilt are made with
Windham’s Daisy Chain fabric by Annabel Wrigley.
I love the bright colors and think it is perfect for any version of Sunbonnet Sue!

I'm over at the Therm O Web blog today sharing more about this quilt.
Look around and check out all the other amazing projects!

This is what my "crew" was doing...tossing the quilt in the air.
They had a lot of fun helping me!

My favorite five year old Monkey Boy took his job seriously.

The pattern is available in Just Let Me Quilt's Pattern store at Craftsy.

No Pinching Allowed With This St. Patrick's T-Shirt And Skirt

I remember the times I feared for my life...okay, slight exaggeration, but I WAS afraid
someone would pinch me because I forgot to wear green on St. Patrick's Day.
This little outfit I'm sharing over on the Therm O Web blog will definitely save some
little girl's arm from being pinched! I need one in my size, too!

What Therm O Web products you'll need for the skirt and t-shirt:

This is so amazing to trace patterns on because it is really wide.

I love to use this for no-sew applique...quick and easy!

This glue rocks!

For holding hems in place, this is just the thing.

Aurifil Thread, 50wt, #2070, is a perfect green for St. Patrick’s Day!
This thread is my very favorite...look at that beautiful green!

Such an easy skirt to make!

You can find the pattern at Just Let Me Quilt's pattern store at Craftsy.

What A Fun Week Of Small Projects And Blog Hopping

Seriously, wasn't that a fun week of amazing small projects!
Some of them had such little teeny tiny pieces. I can't even imagine me sewing them,
but now I want to try. Thank you to all the participants for the inspiration!
You can see them all in one place on Just Let Me Quilt's Pinterest page.
You won't want to miss seeing even one of them because they are all incredible.

So...
Are you ready for more blog hopping?
Carla at Creatin' in the Sticks has a blog hop I'll be joining...you should, too.
What's not to love about flowers!

My Day For The Small Smaller Smallest Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog today!
It's my day for the Small, Smaller, Smallest Blog Hop and I have to say...I'm so excited!
It's been one heck of a week of amazing little projects that are big on creativity.
Some of those projects were the tiniest things I've ever seen.
I don't think I know how to sew that small!

My projects come from two bigger projects...
A quilt from the Sun, Sand, and Sea Block of the Month

and a quilt from the Road Home Row Along.

I had designed blocks for them and thought they would make great pillows for my red couch.

The "Just Married" pillow was part of the Road Home Row Along.
Adding our marriage date seemed like a fun idea.
Yes, I've been married that long!

"Beach Boy Freddie" is from the Sun, Sand, and Sea BOM.
I just love this guy!

Both pillows definitely make me smile when I walk into the room!
You can find both patterns at Just Let Me Quilt's Craftsy page HERE.

I was shopping at a quilt store and saw these mini charms.
They screamed, "PERFECTLY SMALL" so of course,
I had to buy them to use as a giveaway!

All you have to do is leave a nice and small comment to be entered.
Easy entry!
Giveaway ends at midnight March 10, 2018.

UPDATE: Vickie in MN won the giveaway!
You really must check out all these other small projects.
I love them all so far!

There's a Pinterest page for these sweet projects, too.
