Wandering Camera Photos About This And That

I love the idea of dragging out photos that have been in my digital warehouse.
Some of the photos get shared on my blog, Facebook, or Instagram, but a lot of
them disappear into the deep and dark abyss of my computer hard drive.

Thanks to Soma of Whims and Fancies for creating an outlet for those photos
with her Wandering Camera monthly blog sharing events. So fun!
Soma takes amazing and gorgeous photos...so worth checking them out.

Here's a few photos from my "Wandering Camera":

I totally love taking close-ups of flowers!

From green to red...the beauty of a tomato

An abandoned house...with an organ inside!

My camera always loves wandering wherever these guys happen to be!

Where has your camera wandered lately?

Bonus Blocks For Sew Incredibly Block Of The Month

I recently released a couple of bonus blocks on the Sew Incredibly Crazy Facebook page,
and thought I'd share them here since some participants don't have a Facebook page.
They are part of the "It's A Wild Life" block of the month hosted by Amy at Sew Incredibly Crazy. We occasionally offer bonus blocks just for fun.

 Just Hanging Around

Hot Dog Anticipation

They're available in my Craftsy store if you're interested in them.

A Possible Fix For Your Missing Comments

I love my blog friends, like Daryl, who emailed me a link to a blog
with a possible fix for the missing comments issue. It worked for Daryl and me,
and it's working for everyone I know.

Amity Quilter shared her "home grown fix" for this issue that's been
plaguing us for weeks. Thank you Amity Quilter for sharing this!

Here's her link to how she fixed the comments to our email problem.

This is what I did following her directions:

Go to your Blogger dashboard...look to the left.

Click on "Settings"
Click on Email
Change the email address to a different one.
If you don't have a second email address to use, maybe you could borrow
your spouse or friends email just for a few minutes.

Or another option

Remove your email address and click SAVE.
Re-enter your email address and click SAVE.

Click on Save Settings

Go to your email account and find this email. Click on Subscribe

Now go back to your dashboard and repeat the sequence, but
change your email to the one you like to use. It really works...at least for now.

Remember that AOL, Yahoo, and a few others still show up as no-reply bloggers
or as spam. I guess we can't have everything we want...darn!

Good luck and hopefully we can get back to normal blogging again!
Share this info, copy it, whatever it takes.

Wings Of A Butterfly Small Quilt

I'm sharing this quilt on the Therm O Web blog today.
I love the bright fabrics, Windham fabric, Gypsy by Jessica VanDenburgh,
and of course, using Therm O Web products made it even easier to assemble!

An Irish Blessing...
“May the wings of the butterfly kiss the sun.
And find your shoulder to light on.
To bring you luck, happiness, and riches.
Today, tomorrow, and beyond.”

Skinny Ties For My Favorite Boys

My son-in-law and my daughter are never afraid to tackle a sewing project,
even though neither one of them do much sewing. They are such a cute couple
and crack me up with their bravery and silliness...I just love them both!

This time they decided to make a skinny tie, but there were things about it that my SIL
didn't like. With his help, I made some changes and came up with a tie that was exactly
what he wanted: A skinny tie that wasn’t too thick around the neck.
He even supplied me with the fabric he wanted...what a guy!

This Ties On You

I printed the pattern on Therm O Web's Stitch n Sew EZ Quilt Block Sheets because it will
make the pattern reusable and with a houseful of six Monkey Boys, there will be a huge
need for more ties...lots and lots more ties! I added some other sizes to the pattern.

Such a handsome guy and agreeable model!

You can find the pattern at my Etsy store HERE.

Google has made some changes, so answering comments has become quite the challenge.
If I have your email address, you will hear from me, but unfortunately I can't reply if I don't.

If you've asked to be part of the Christmas in July blog hop and haven't heard from me,
it's because I don't have your email address to be able to respond. I'd love to have you
join in the blog hop, so email me with your email address, blog name, and blog URL
and I'll get back to you as soon as possible.

Aurifil Thread Isn’t Just For Sewing

I have five Monkey Boys staying at my house for a week.
Yes, it will be crazy, but I love the energy and smiles they bring to my life.
This 3-year old Monkey Boy helped open my new package of Aurifil thread
and showed me that sewing isn’t the only way to enjoy these beautiful colors.

It was a very intense project opening those little spools of thread.

The Nancy Rink collection is beautiful and goes great with the Windham Gypsy fabric.

It's definitely going to be a week of smiles at my house!
