A Time For All Seasons June Block Of The Month

It's my turn to share blocks for the "A Time For All Seasons" block of the month and I had so much
fun creating them. I hope you'll enjoy them, too! Each block is unfinished at 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" and
will be free for one month. After that, they will be available in my Etsy store HERE for a small fee.

Father's Day
June means celebrating Father's Day and what dad hasn't received at least one tie
on his special day. This poor dad received way more than his share of ties!

Summer Solstice 2019
"The first day of summer 2019 arrives with the solstice on Friday, June 21st at 11:54 a.m. EDT.
For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, this marks the longest day of the year and the
moment when the Sun reaches the Tropic of Cancer, its highest point."

Sailing away during the summer solstice sounds like a sweet idea to me!

June Weddings
"June was traditionally the most popular month to marry, and still very common. Why? The goddess
Juno (for whom June is named) was the protector of women in all aspects of life, but especially in
marriage and childbearing, so a wedding in Juno’s month was considered most auspicious."

Bonus Block - June Bride and Groom

ThermOWeb's Food For Thought Project Week Begins

ThermOWeb's “Food for Thought” sew along projects begin today! This week ThermOWeb
will show you what we made with the four free 10 ½” x 10 ½” blocks we shared a couple of weeks
ago. I hope your blocks are sewn and ready to use in these projects! Free patterns are available with
a list of supplies and instructions for all four projects. Today is my day to share!

Sweet Shop

I had the best model for this photo!

This yummy looking quilt uses all four "Food For Thought" blocks by ThermOWeb designers.
My block is the sundae dripping with chocolate fudge.

You can find all the sew along projects with free patterns on ThermOWeb's blog this week.
You can find the Sweet Shop pattern HERE.

Here's the project dates...check them out!

All of us will tell you that we LOVE using Heat n Bond EZ Print Lite Sheets when we make
applique  projects. The adhesive comes in larger sheets, too. The EZ Print sheets can be run
through an inkjet printer and then ironed on your fabric. No tracing all the pieces! Plus, the
protective backing peels off so easy...I love that and think you will, too!

Thanks for stopping by!

Little Dog Takes On Big Dog

We had Gage for a week and loved all 56 pounds of him.
The little dogs, Bruster and Bella, never took to him the way we did.
A 17 pound ten year old dog vs a 56 pound ten month old dog in a battle isn't good.
Bruster lost the battle with Gage and it wasn't Gage's fault.

We're not sure if Bruster's jaw hit Gage's hard head or caught his tooth on his collar,
but Bruster's jaw was dislocated and his tooth was broken. Of course, it had to happen
after the vet was closed so it ended up being a trip to the vet ER. Bruster had the tooth
removed and got three stitches in his mouth. He was in a lot of pain...poor baby!

Things didn't get any better, so we were lucky my son's ex-roommate wanted Gage back.
We miss him, but the constant vigilance to keep them apart has ended. Whew!
Gage was a great dog and without Bossy Bruster, he would have been a great for us.

Luckily, I'll still get to visit him once in a while!

Food For Thought Sew Along With ThermOWeb

Every other month at ThermOWeb has been a sew along where four free block patterns are shared
and then a week or two later, four free projects are shared to use them in. This month's blocks have
the theme, "Food For Thought" and all four designers must have had a sweet tooth because they are
all yummy treats to sew. My block is "Every Day Is A Sundae" and it's dripping in hot fudge.

You need to go check out the other sweet blocks at ThermOWeb and get the block patterns!

These are the designers (including me)...I love working with these creative ladies!

Riley Blake Designs Charlotte Fabric Blog Tour

Every time I receive a package of Riley Blake Designs' fabrics I think,
"This is my favorite!" That's exactly what I thought when I saw "Charlotte."
"Charlotte" fabric was designed by Michelle Yeo for Penny Rose Fabrics.

Flower Garden
Finished size - 50" x 60"

"Flower Garden" was beautifully quilted by Quilted Works in St. George, Utah.

I only used these fabrics from the "Charlotte" line, but all the other ones are amazing too!

Aren't they all beautiful!

I didn't do any tracing for these applique flowers because I used my favorite iron-on adhesive,
Heat n Bond EZ Print Lite Sheets. All you have to do is run the sheets through an inkjet
printer to print off the designs. They are ready to iron on your fabric with no tracing!

The appliqued flowers were perfect for the gorgeous "Charlotte" fabric!

You can find the pattern for "Flower Garden" in my Etsy store HERE,

I'm so glad you stopped by today!

A New Addition To Our Family

This huge hunk of dog joined our family yesterday.
My son sent me a message yesterday that said, "Happy Birthday. I gave you a dog."
I'd rather have chocolates, but this is okay for now.
Gage is nine months old, weighs 56 pounds, and is a mix of a Labrador and pit bull.
So, basically he is a Pitador, Bullador, or Labrabull. I like Pitador because I adore him.

He was a shelter dog who was rescued by a friend of my son.
That didn't work out, so my son took him which gave him two big dogs in an apartment.
My son is moving to a new place that will only allow one dog, so he's tried
to find a new owner for Gage. Twice people took him and brought him back.
He's a lot of dog that has spent most of his time in a cage and was used to playing ruff with
my son's other dog. That's not working for my two little ankle biters...they don't like him!
We're hoping they adjust once Gage gets some training on his manners.

It's like having a naughty two year old in the house!
I watched him last week for my son and his allergies really flared up...poor baby!
It scared me to death to see those eyes and jowls swelling up, plus he had a rash. Benadryl
quickly took care of the issues, but now I'll have to figure out what bothered him.

Luckily he's cage trained or I'd never get anything done, because I'm constantly supervising
his whereabouts and making sure my little dogs don't attack him and/or become a meal for him.
Life is crazy with this guy in the house!

P. S. I'm taking a little break from blog hops for the summer, but Carla at Creatin In The Sticks
will be announcing one in July and I'll announce one shortly after that. I love the hops and
can't wait to jump back in after a summer break. I love being inspired by you!

Birthday Sale On My Patterns

My birthday is later this week so I thought I'd celebrate by having a
50% OFF SALE on my patterns!
It lasts until the end of the day on May 7th (which might just be my birthday.)
My daughter made this cake...maybe I'll have her make one for me.
Peanut butter and chocolate make such a yummy combination!

You can check out my patterns in my Etsy store HERE.

Have a great day!
