A Time For All Seasons June Block Of The Month

It's my turn to share blocks for the "A Time For All Seasons" block of the month and I had so much
fun creating them. I hope you'll enjoy them, too! Each block is unfinished at 10 1/2" x 10 1/2" and
will be free for one month. After that, they will be available in my Etsy store HERE for a small fee.

Father's Day
June means celebrating Father's Day and what dad hasn't received at least one tie
on his special day. This poor dad received way more than his share of ties!

Summer Solstice 2019
"The first day of summer 2019 arrives with the solstice on Friday, June 21st at 11:54 a.m. EDT.
For those of us in the Northern Hemisphere, this marks the longest day of the year and the
moment when the Sun reaches the Tropic of Cancer, its highest point."

Sailing away during the summer solstice sounds like a sweet idea to me!

June Weddings
"June was traditionally the most popular month to marry, and still very common. Why? The goddess
Juno (for whom June is named) was the protector of women in all aspects of life, but especially in
marriage and childbearing, so a wedding in Juno’s month was considered most auspicious."

Bonus Block - June Bride and Groom

Here's the optional finished quilt information:

62” x 74” quilt top
5 rows across, 6 rows down
30 blocks (6 bonus blocks)
 2” sashings
4 yards background fabric (allows for extra if needed)
2 ½ yards sashing fabric
Miscellaneous fabrics of your choice for appliques, etc.
(A fat quarter bundle works great for this)

  6. Thank you for three fabulous blocks! The dad one made me really LOL. =) You outdid yourself, as each one would have been a great block all by itself.
