WINTER BLUES/SEASONAL FUNK - a feeling of depression or deep
unhappiness associated with experiencing the cold and darkness of winter.
But we love fabric, we love to sew, and we love to show off what we make.
Winter Ice measures 59" x 59" and is made with fabrics from
Northcott's "Silent Night" line.
You can find the pattern for "Winter Ice" in my Etsy store HERE.

Winter Ice is beautiful!!! I love snowflakes and yours are gorgeous!! Perfect way to start off The Winter Blues Blog Hop!!!
ReplyDeleteI love those snow flakes. An as for me, I hope they stay in that quilt, because I don't like snow. I'm in Norway, and we almost have summer temperatures just now.
ReplyDeleteThere's no way you could feel blue with that beautiful quilt around. The snow flakes are really pretty.
ReplyDeleteSo pretty for winter in blue.
ReplyDeleteSuch a pretty quilt that's sure to add warmth!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty and cheerful! Your quilt definitely chases the winter blues away!
ReplyDeletebeautiful!
ReplyDeleteYour Winter Ice quilt is so pretty! Definitely would chase the blues away. I don’t get the Winter blues. I love the opportunity to stay indoors and play and hide from the cold and ice and snow shoveling.
ReplyDeleteLovely quilt! The snowflakes are particularly pretty, and I love the blues that you used. Northcott never fails to have lovely fabrics.
ReplyDeleteThis lovely bright quilt certainly brightens the winter blues! Thanks for sharing ... :) Pat
ReplyDeletePerfect - blue and white, check. Snowflake, check. Beautiful quilt - thanks for the smile today! Did you paper piece the snowflake or machine piece?
ReplyDeleteI love your stars, great quilt.
ReplyDeleteHi Carol! I love that you're on day one of the blog hop - get it started off with a bang. These fabrics are so pretty and just the perfect shade to chase away the literal winter blues. I always adore quilts with stars in them. Gorgeous and I'm feeling happier already. ~smile~ Roseanne
ReplyDeleteThat is a real beauty! I love blue and white quilts. They always seem so crisp and clean. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThis is an absolutely beautiful way to kick off this event. Love the quilt and am in awe of that crystalline block.
ReplyDeleteWow, Winter Blues is stunning!!!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, it will surely chase away any real winter blues.
ReplyDeleteWinter Blues is so real however your quilt is so beautiful it makes me smile (and every color of blue makes me happy!). How fun to blog hop away Winter Dreary. <3
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Blue and whites have always been my favorite!
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect Blues chaser. The fabric is simple but the quilt if beautiful! Love it!
ReplyDeleteI love your winter ice quilt, much better than sleet and freezing rain type ice!
ReplyDeleteI really like your Winter Ice quilt (much better than the ice hanging from my eaves and covering my front steps). The snowflakes among the stars reminds me of winter walks at night when the stars and moon are shining and a light fluffy snow is falling.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt Carol
ReplyDeleteLove Winter Ice. So perfect for the hop and the colors of that fabric line do remind me of winter and ice. Thank you, my friend, for always being there for me in my quilty adventures!
ReplyDeleteWhat a stunning quilt! I love the snowflake blocks, they are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis is a perfect winter quilt, and I think it works for chasing the blues away! Are the snowflake blocks pieced or appliqué?
