A Quilt For MY Boys Blog Hop

It's MY day For The Boys!
+ a couple extra days!

Madame Samm at Sew We Quilt asked Amy at Sew Incredibly Crazy
to be the cheerleader for this hop...she's just perfect for the job!
Thanks to both of them for all the encouragement!

With four Monkey Boys (grandsons) in my life, this hop was just the thing
I needed to give me some ideas on what to make for boys.

I managed to think up a couple ideas that were aimed at guys only...

My hubby loves to watch movies and eat popcorn with the Monkey Boys during their sleepovers. The movies they watch usually include Looney Tunes or The Three Stooges. If it's the Three Stooges they're watching, it's a no-brainer that I'll be hearing them all say, "Who's in charge here?" followed by hysterical laughter as they all point at each other. They think they are so funny!

When I saw some Three Stooges fabric by Robert Kaufman, I knew I had to make them all a quilt to snuggle under while eating popcorn and watching crazy movies with their Doodah (what they call my hubby.)

"Be A Stooge"

With a little nudging and pushing from That Other Lady, I managed to finish Mumley...
I was thinking I was too tired from moving to do one more thing. She knew just what to say to
get me thinking otherwise. Monkey Boy #3 will be a happy boy when he gets this quilt!

"Mumley"

I'll be delivering all these monsters to my Monkey Boys this weekend!

Look who else is For The Boys today:

Here's a little GIVEAWAY for this hop...a package I bought at my
favorite quilt store, Quilted Works.
It's a pattern and fabric for a pillowcase...for a boy, of course!

The usual giveaway rules..blah, blah, blah
  1. Leave a not too girly comment.
  2. This one is important! Make sure I can contact you if you're a no-reply blogger. *If you don't get a reply from me, you're a no-reply blogger or something else is screwed-up.
  3. It can be mailed anywhere...yes, even to the other side of the world.
  4. Giveaway ends at 6 p.m. PST on November 15thEntries after 6 p.m. PST on November 15th will not be included in the giveaway.

Check out Sew We Quilt for some amazing giveaways!

I absolutely adore the 3 Stooges quilt! Not a week went by in our house that we did not watch them! Didn't every household watch them? if not, they should have. laughter makes you live longer and you will laugh while you watch these 3 comedians. I always preferred Curly over Shemp but didn't care who was on... I watched regardless. :)

Carol what a fun 3 Stooges quilt! When I was a teen in high school Larry Fine of the 3 Stooges came to our high school. We watched a film and he was old and in a wheelchair then and didn't talk much. He was living in the Motion Picture House, which is a retirement place for old actors in Woodland Hills, Ca where I lived then.
