Valentine Love Bunnies Pillow

I love those chocolate Easter bunnies...do you eat the ears first? I do, I do!
There's no chocolate involved in the "Valentine Love Bunnies" pillow, but there is
definitely a lot of love happening between those two sweethearts. Very sweet!

I'm sharing some tips on the ThermOWeb blog today about using their products to easily put
this pillow together. Check it out and roam around a bit to see other amazing projects.

EZ Print Lite Sheets (I love these printable sheets!)

And...

Lucky me, I get to teach a raw edge applique class at Quilted Works on January 30th
for two Valentine pillows. They laser cut their kits so it's even easier to put them together.

You can find the patterns in Just Let Me Quilt's Etsy store HERE.
Fabrics are Riley Blake Designs "So Ruby" by Carina Gardner.

Ms. Winifred's Closet Is A Laser Cut Kit At Quilted Works

I did a little shriek, eek, and oh-my-gosh when I saw Ms. Winifred's Closet made into a
laser cut kit at Quilted Works in different fabrics then I used. Then I saw it sewn together
and quilted...WOWZERS! They did an amazing job on it...love it!

If you'd rather use your own fabric and cut out the applique pieces,
you can find the pattern in my Etsy store HERE.

My quilt was made with Riley Blake Designs' "Cats, Bats, and Jacks."
I think they both look so fun!

Thank you, Quilted Works, for creating a laser cut kit for this!

The In Our Garden Blocks Are All Together

I feel so proud of myself for finishing all the blocks in the In Our Garden Block of the Month
and then actually getting them sewn together into a quilt. We've had nothing but dark clouds and
rain today, but I was so excited to take a pic of it. My garden quilt is so big!

Thanks to the beautiful quilting done by Quilted Works it's ready for me to add the binding.

I loved using Riley Blake Design's fabrics for this quilt. The fabrics were amazing!

Thanks to Amy at Sew Incredibly Crazy for letting us all get creative with our gardens!

Samantha's Blue Horse Quilt

Samantha has a horse with blue eyes, so it seemed appropriate to make her a
quilt in pretty shades of blue. It has minky on the back that's perfect for cuddling with
her dog...not her horse, of course. I don't think her mom lets the horse in the house.

I found the horse applique design online HERE.
Fabrics are Andover Fabrics Dimples.
Quilting was done by Quilted Works.

I love to applique using Heat n Bond Lite adhesive. It peels off so easy!

Sometimes A Sale Just Calls My Name

In reality, a sale ALWAYS calls my name.
This one was really calling me...buy me, buy me, buy me!
How could I pass up a sale that was 50% to 75% off, especially when it was at my favorite store,

Well, I couldn't, so I didn't.

Two fabric kits, one of them a laser cut kit, and Deco Foil products.
I think I was a little over excited at finding all these amazing bargains.
What's not to love about a sale!

These Deco Foil products were a HUGE savings...thank you, Barbara and Charlotte!
(I might have skipped a little when I left the building holding my purple bag.)
I do love that Deco Foil. Shiny things just make me oooh and aaah.

Check out the Thermoweb blog for ways to use this foil:

Quilted Works Party And Yes I Bought More Fabric

I can count on one hand how many times I've walked into a quilt store and not bought anything.
Yesterday wasn't one of those days.
With "quilt celebrities" hanging around to chat with, I was having so much fun
that the fabric and patterns just worked their way into my hands and out the door.

I met the designer of this adorable quilt, Lemonade Stand, that was published in America Patchwork
Quilting this month. Patricia Frei was as nice as can be! Look, I even have a signed copy by her!
You can buy a laser cut kit at Quilted Works to make one or look for the magazine.

The fabrics in the quilt are Moda's "Little Miss Sunshine" by designer Vanessa GoertzenI met her,
too! She was so sweet, but I found that standing next to her caused me to buy a couple of her patterns.
She didn't even have to twist my arm because they were so cute! She blogs over at Lella Boutique.
You can find her patterns in her shop. These are the two I bought...love them!

I also met Natalie Bonner from Piece N Quilt ...oh my gosh that woman can quilt!
Her work is amazing and she is such a nice lady, too! Check out her blog to see her work.

Bea from Beaquilter won the laser kit from Quilted Works.
Congratulations, Bea!

Time to sew some of the cool fabrics and patterns I bought at Quilted Works.
So many fun projects...so little time!

Quilted Works Birthday And Giveaway Time!

Can a quilt store celebrate becoming a teenager?
Well, yes...sort of.
Quilted Works is having a birthday party this week to celebrate turning 13!
13...teenager...get it?

Happy Birthday, Quilted Works!
To help get their party started, they gave me a laser cut pillow kit to share with one of you.
How awesome is that!

This cute, cute pattern by Kimberbell is so easy to make...really it is,
especially with all the pieces cut out and ready to press on the fabric.
Love it!
I know how easy it is because I bought a kit for myself.

You get four chances on this giveaway, but you don't have to do them all.
The first entry just requires an email address and a click on "Enter"...that's it!
The other entries are extras...it's totally up to you.

Sorry, cupcakes are not included in the giveaway (I just might have eaten them...maybe.)
I bought them at The Sweet Tooth Fairy to get started on the birthday celebrating.
It was hard to choose which ones to buy. So many yummies in that store!

It's A Birthday Pillow

It all started with me needing just one piece of fabric to finish something, but of course I saw
something else at the quilt store. It called my name so how could I resist!
I blame Quilted Works for having another cute laser cut kit sitting there for me to see.

I bought the kit and made the pillow.
It's not really my birthday, but I had to hang something on those cute clothespins.
I really need to make better letters, but I love the pillow!

Want to know the best part?

They gave me a kit to share with a friend, so next week during their birthday celebration
I'll be having a giveaway of this pillow kit. Cool, isn't it! Check back on Monday to enter.
Thank you, Quilted Works for letting me help you celebrate your 13th birthday!

The Little Sheep Is Quilted

I love when I get the phone call from Quilted Works letting me know one of my quilts is ready
for pick-up. Yesterday was the "Little Sheep" is quilted phone call...yay!

It still needs binding, but I love, love, love the quilting on this one...looks like fluffy clouds!
That bright green minky was perfect for this, too.

It always amazes me how much some beautiful quilting can add dimension to a quilt.
Thanks to Cathy and Julie for helping choose the quilt pattern and doing all the hard work!
I love it! They always know just the right design and thread to make my quilts look amazing.

Thanks to Deonn for this cute pattern!

The Turquoise Quilt Gets Spiffed Up

I wasn't crazy about this turquoise quilt with the paper pieced star,
but adding some beautiful quilting spiffed it up a bit. Thanks, Quilted Works!

It started like this.

With some girly flower quilting and binding, it looks like this.

So much better!
I'm hoping that next time the thoughts in my head will produce exactly what I envisioned.

My sister took pity on us and shared some of her overgrown plants to make our backyard look better.
Her beautiful yellow flowers made such a difference...I'm loving all the color in our yard!

With school out, we've been spending some time with the Monkey Boys.
Sewing is kind of on the back burner right now, but these guys are so worth it!
This was an amazing hike with the boys.

Quilted Works Row By Row 2015

I don't travel much, usually just between two states, so I've never participated in the
Row by Row event. Well, when I saw this one at Quilted Works I HAD to join in...love it!

I picked it up late yesterday afternoon and had it sewn and appliques pressed on this morning in less
than an hour. I still need to sew around the edges, but that shouldn't take long once I get started.
This kit was ready-to-sew with all pieces cut, including the laser cut applique pieces.
Love, love, love those laser cuts!

If you're in the Utah area, stop by and get this cute block. The pattern is free,
but the kit will cost you. It was so worth it!

Call Quilted Works for directions...you will love their store!

The Owls On The Baby Quilt

I just finished binding my Hoots Hollow baby quilt...I'm loving those owls!
This is definitely for a baby girl with that cute flower quilting by Quilted Works.

Minky on the back looks great with those quilted flowers!

Here's the pattern I used from Ribbon Candy Quilt Company.

But, wait! There's more!

Margie is offering 25% off her patterns if you use the code word
"Celebrate Summer!"
Thanks, Margie!
*Sale ends at 6 p.m. PST June 22nd, 2015.

Time to go shopping at Ribbon Candy Quilt Company!

Jeepers Creepers Is It Halloween Yet?

I sew a lot slower these days, but it is really a nice change. There were times I was whipping out 7-9 projects a month. Way too much! Now ...
