Gremlins, Goblins And Ghouls Oh My

Joan at Moosestash Quilting has us shaking in our witchy little boots beginning today with her Gremlins Goblins and Ghouls Oh My! blog hop. Scary but so exciting to see all the Halloween goodies!

I went into gnome-mode with Benartex's Spooktacular Gnomes fabric by Andi Metz. The panel comes with the cutest gnome doll cut-outs! Instead of making dolls, I appliqued those scary, but cute, gnomes onto my quilt using ThermOWeb's Heat n Bond Lite Iron-on Adhesive.

53" x 56"

The fabric panel comes with fun add-ons of pumpkins, candy, banners, and a cauldron. You can add what you want...be creative!

This guy with the green nose looks a little Frankenstein-ish to me.

How cute are the braids on this gnome!

The gnomes were out of control on the backing fabric...so many freaky gnomes!

These are the Benartex Spooktacular Gnomes fabrics that I used in the quilt.

Total Panda-monium Toddler Quilt

Jason and Jill Toddle are the perfect size toddler quilt at 25" x 36".
I think they could create as much Panda-monium as the five Monkey Boys do!

Jason Toddle

Jill Toddle

They were sewn using the sweet Blend Fabrics Panda-rama Collection by Maude Asbury.

I'm over at the Therm O Web blog today sharing these cute bears and a pillow, too!
There's so many fun ideas on their blog with great instructions on ways to use their products!

I use the Heat n Bond EZ Print Lite Sheets for quickly creating my applique pieces.
No tracing...love it!

A Half-Sized Crafty Apron With Henry Glass Shop Hop Fabric

Sewing a half-sized crafty apron with Henry Glass Shop Hop fabric had me smiling all day.
I am totally in love with the ladies on this fabric..they are having so much fun together!

Designer Bonnie Krebs definitely caught how we feel about shopping for fabric with friends.
These are just a few of the "ladies."

The red head in the middle would be my friend, Brenda.
She can do cartwheels and jump on trampolines, so this Pogo stick would be no biggie for her.
Paula and Nancy would probably take a go at it, too!

This would be Susan, Bernice, Vicki, Brenda, and me ready to shop.

Such adorable fabric!

I'm over at the Therm O Web blog today showing how to make the apron...check it out!

Mrs. Bunny's Easter Eggs With Moda Fabrics,

I love all the Easter fabrics that have come out this year and I have to say that

Mrs. Bunny's Easter Eggs
Finished size: 40" x 50"
The fabric has a panel that you can make into dolls. I cut out the design and added a ruffled skirt.
I love ruffles!

The fabrics are so bright and beautiful and the Aurifil threads just make it fun to sew everything!

Oh, look! There's a pocket for a little bunny on the back.

I'm over at the Therm O Web blog today...check it out!

Sun, Sand, And Sea BOM...Block #2

Last month the sun definitely was shining in Block #1 of the Sun, Sand, and Sea BOM.
It was fun to see all the varieties and fabrics that were being sewn into a sun...loved it!
Block #2 gives us a little sand and sea to go along with that beautiful sun.

This block measures 12 1/2" x 24 1/2" unfinished.
There's a piecing and applique in this block.

Thanks to Riley Blake Designs, I'm sewing with solids from the Crayola fabric line.
The Crayola boxes make me smile when I look at them and the fabrics are just gorgeous!

You can find Block #1 at Amy's blog, Sew Incredibly Crazy.
She's the Royal Sun Queen in charge of this BOM and I just love her style.
Amy keeps all the designers in this group moving along and motivated.
Thanks, Amy!

My Block #1 - January
You can find the blog post HERE and the pattern HERE.

My Block #2 - February
You can find the info on it HERE and the pattern HERE.

Next month's blocks are by Carla at Creatin' In The Sticks

There's a Facebook page for Sew Incredibly Crazy and Friends where you can
share your sewn blocks and see what everyone else is creating.

I'm not crazy about tracing all the shapes when I applique, so I use Heat n Bond EZ Print Lite sheets. I love that all I need to do is run the design through my printer, iron to the wrong side of my fabric,
cut out the pieces, and then press them in place. It is so fast and easy...I love easy!

Samantha's Blue Horse Quilt

Samantha has a horse with blue eyes, so it seemed appropriate to make her a
quilt in pretty shades of blue. It has minky on the back that's perfect for cuddling with
her dog...not her horse, of course. I don't think her mom lets the horse in the house.

I found the horse applique design online HERE.
Fabrics are Andover Fabrics Dimples.
Quilting was done by Quilted Works.

I love to applique using Heat n Bond Lite adhesive. It peels off so easy!
