That Pesky No-Reply Blogger Thing

One of the hardest things for a lot of us bloggers is the NO-REPLY BLOGGER issue. This means that when you comment on our blog, we get a notification of that comment in our email box. If that email shares your comment but not your email address, that means you are a no-reply blogger. Our ability to reply to you is impossible unless we know who you are.

We aren't ignoring you, we just can't do anything about it. It's so frustrating when someone leaves a comment that needs a reply and we can't do it. Help us out!

If you want to hear back from your favorite bloggers, here's what you can do to fix it. It will only fix your blog from being a no-reply blogger, not other blogs.

This only applies to people who use Google's Blogger format.

Go to your Blogger Dashboard

On the left, click on "Settings" - Scroll clear to the bottom to “General” - Click on “User Profile”

Click “Show my email address”
This should allow us to reply to your comment.

Want to see if it works? Leave a short comment and I'll reply to you.

  1. HAHA! No need to reply, Carol. I just saw that you had a "Newer Post" and had to check out three days in a row. I'm proud of you. Now go stare at that Monkey Baby. {{Hugs}} ~smile~ Roseanne

  3. Thank you for the information. I'd be grateful if you would check my settings are ok. I know that sometimes with updates settings can get changed without you realising

  6. It's weird because I only recently started having problems with my comments being a no-reply blogger. Thanks for the instructions on how to make it work again!

  7. My email provider changed to Google and now I can't access my personal Google account so can't post comments 95% of the time. Frustrating.

  8. My settings are as you described. But my email address does not match my email provider so I always have to supply my email address in my comments. I won't supply it with this comment, just to test it. But I bet you won't receive notification of my comment.

  9. I have done this twice now and still don't know if I am coming up as a no-reply blogger.

  10. I tried commenting but don’t see it so I’m trying again to see if I’m still a no reply blogger

  11. It is so frustrating, especially when it happens unknowingly.

  12. Good reminder for those who are no-reply bloggers! I think some are getting it confused and thinking that if they do the setting for their blog, then they won't have any more no-reply bloggers. I think Blogger is a very clumsy platform, but I can't figure out Wordpress, and I'm not that fond of it anyway, so Blogger it shall be! ;)
