It's So Hot Giveaway

Seriously! It is so HOT I think I'm going to melt!

This photo was taken yesterday afternoon from my car's dashboard
(it dropped two degrees just as I pulled over to take the pic in the shade!)

113 degrees!
Ugh, that is so scorchingly yucky!

Today I ventured out to the local quilt store for just a piece of green fabric.
But, of course, that's not all I bought.
Hahaha, like I would only buy what I went shopping for! That's too funny!

Since it is so hot and July is a celebration kind of a month,
I picked up three fat quarters for a
GIVEAWAY!
The goofy picture is not included...it's my daughter's and she's not willing to part with it.

Giveaway has ended.
The rules...
  1. Leave a short comment about the temperature where you live.
  2. The three fat quarters can be mailed anywhere...yes, even to the other side of the world.
  3. You don't have to be a follower to play along, but of course that makes me smile if you do.
  4. Giveaway ends at 5 p.m. PST on July 8thEntries after 5 p.m. PST on July 8th will not be included in the giveaway.
  5. THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT: If you aren't sure whether or not you are a no reply blogger, LEAVE ME AN EMAIL ADDRESS...pretty please! You can't win if I can't contact you! If you don't get a reply from me to your comment, you are a no reply blogger.

  5. We started out in the low 90's - then that storm cell (with tornados) from Michigan has been tearing thru NY state. I think it is somewhere in the 80's now, but I am not about to go outside in this storm.

  6. It's a warm and sticky 97 here with thunderstorms expected on the drive home. For joy, for joy. I too went out at lunch and ended up at Joanns to cool off.

Here in the northeast we are having our first heat wave of the summer. It has been in the mid 90's locally and very humid the past few days. Right now the sky is darkening and I think we are in for thunder boomers. Not sure if it will cool off though. Tropical air streaming up the coast.

Thank you for the chance to win these gorgeous fabrics ... you are sew very generous ... :) Pat

    ReplyDelete
  91. OH this is meant to be for me, I just know it. I was searching for the blue stars fabric yesterday for a project I wanted to make for next July. I like those others as well.

I WOULD melt in those temps. ACK! Please don't tell me a thing about it being a "dry heat". LOL I always laugh when I hear that. Hot is HOT in my book.

Today as of right this moment, it's only 78 degrees. Very nice. The past week we've had a lot of rain and temps have been about the same, although the past two nights it's gotten down to the low 50's. Of course that would figure since my son and his family went camping at a friends cabin (small cabin so they had to set up their tent). My poor 2 yr old granddaughter is probably freezing.

I hope you are having a nice holiday. Hubby and I are doing nothing at all since we have our house to ourselves with the kids and granddaughter gone for the weekend. We are on strike from everything. LOL

It's a lot nicer back in my home town of San Diego, although now that I'm no longer a young chick (I'm 67), even this weather is a little to much for me.
