Having doorstops in my house wasn't a high priority, but this blog hop
got me started on something new and totally fun. I now have two doorstops!
This doorstop was inspired by my own Bella dog and a pattern found HERE.
She has huge ears for such a little dog!
"Bella Boo"
"Chick Stop"
This one weighs a ton and is filled with aquarium rocks and Polyfil.
It's perfect for holding my door open in the kitchen.

ReplyDeleteCarol, they are precious! I got lost for awhile when I checked out the link you provided to Wee Folks! That's quite a site! Thanks for sharing. I've been anticipating this hop ever since it's conception, as my daughter has asked me to make her a few doorstops. So many cute ideas to follow up on!
ReplyDeleteOh me gee I LOVE the ears. I have to make one of those for my Franklin. He says hello to Miss Bella. :)
ReplyDeleteYour door stoppers are adorable! I expected no less! Thank you for the link to the site. I am going to make one of hers too.. mums the word until the 5th. :)
ReplyDeleteI wonder how Bella dog (real) is doing with Bella dog (fake)!! What a great representation. Those ears are a hoot. My favorite is the chick doorstop. Not only are the fabrics 'cuter than a bug' but that's the BEST idea to have put the ties on top. Really, who wants to bend over and use two hands to move the door stop out of the way? Brilliant!
ReplyDeleteYour Bella Boo is superb! Great stitching on her. Love your chicken stop too. I never would have thought of aquarium rocks. Very clever!
ReplyDeleteSo So Cute. Love the ruffles too.
ReplyDeleteAw, they are both so cute! And I see that you are practicing your ruffles!!

ReplyDeleteAlright Carol, I thought you'd be recovering from your amazing cheerleading, but noooo! here you are making the cutest doorstops! Seriously, I don't even need a doorstop, but those are adorable! Now, I am thinking about making 3-D replicas of friends and animals ooooh....thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteCarol I just fell in love with Bella and his replica in doorstop just made me giggle. Loved your little chicken to so bright and cheery. Job well done as usual.

ReplyDeleteHow adorable! The Bella is bootiful! :)
ReplyDeleteOh, how cute your door stops are! I can hardly believe how much your Bella looks like Willie I used to have. We had some dogs and cats over the years and had zero. I didn't want any more pets. My husband wanted another dog and got a dog. He named him Willie. When my husband divorced me, he did not take the dog. So, I used to tell people I got his Willie in the divorce - I am so bad! I traveled a tons with my job then. The kids saw Willie on Thursday and he was gone on Friday when I got home. It was my last day on that gig away from home. Seeing your cute projects does bring back fond memories of the pup. You always have wonderful projects. Thanks for always participating and bringing joy!!!!
ReplyDeleteBella Boo and Chick Stop are amazing! You were definitely up for the challenge. Well done!
ReplyDeleteTotally fun, and funny that your little dog is chewing on it.

ReplyDeleteEu diria melhor muiito criativo.
