Riley Blake Designs "Joy In The Journey" Quilt

Riley Blake Designs just released fabric line, "Joy in the Journey" by Dani Mogstad, sends us on a fun camping adventure just by looking at the designs. They are so cheery and fun!

50" x 50"

"Beautiful Adventures" used this combination of "Joy in the Journey" fabrics: Plaid Coral, Tiles in Olive and Sunshine, and Floral Cream.

"Joy in the Journey" is 100% cotton and features prints with camp trailers, tents, flowers, and trees. It would be great used in home decor and clothing, as well as quilts.

The panel for "Joy in the Journey" has so many pretty details it was hard to cut them apart for the quilt!

This looks like a happy place to sleep in!

Such a cute truck with a sweet saying!

It would be a beautiful adventure in this pink tent!

The circle of flowers was made with "Tiles" in Olive and Sunshine.

The "Plaid Coral" makes a beautiful binding and flower centers.

The back was pieced with the addition of this panel block.

Half square triangles went in the corners, vines for flowers, and RBD Floral Cream for a border.

You can find the PDF pattern for "Beautiful Adventures" HERE.

Thank you for stopping by!

  5. Great quilt! I love all those places to sleep, and might have slept in all of them, too. LOL I remember the back of the pick up one cold night! I was a whole lot younger then.

  11. Hi Carol! I am in love with your quilt. Thanks so much for sharing this pattern. My mother and I have cut out all the pieces except the flower and leaves for appliqué. When I download the pattern on page 9 there is the appliqués for the center square. The ones that go on the round circle. However in the 10 pages that are downloadable, there are no appliqué patterns for the outside border of flowers and leaves. They look larger than the flowers and leaves that are in the center. Am I missing a page? Or should I just enlarge the pattern of flowers and leaves from page 9?
