I'm getting ready to picnic during the "A Perfect Picnic" Blog Hop that begins on June 2nd, so I made some barbecued hot dogs for the event (my picnic quilt can't be shown until my day on June 3rd.)
These aren't done enough for me...mine have to be REALLY charcoal black!
If you eat hot dogs, how do you like them...barely warm, slightly grilled, or almost black?
I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone comes up with for this next hop.
ReplyDeleteI loved hot dogs but it is another food I can't eat anymore. They are the perfect food, they taste good and so many ways to eat them, lol. My favorite would have to be new york systems and chili dogs after that;)

These on the grill look just right for me. I really like the potato salad I would be serving with these! I am a carb girl as my figure proves. Blessings on this Memorial weekend...
ReplyDeleteRoasted on a stick over our burn piles. They get just the right cripy brown skin. Have a wonderful Holiday weekend.
ReplyDeleteI like 'em really hot on the inside and just browned on the outside, juicy, done slow and savored. Over the campfire is best ... mmmmmm. When I was younger, I was a vegetarian for many years and the only meat that ever tempted me were hot dogs roasted over the campfire ... ;) Pat
ReplyDeleteWe had grilled hotdogs and hamburgers yesterday afternoon. I love mine cooked on the top rack and barely browned but like it when they split open and plump up..yummy Have a great memorial Day weekend.
ReplyDeleteAt least 60% blackened hot dogs grilled with buns toasted, smothered with mustard, white onions and home-made North Carolina hot-dog chili ... and sometimes cole slaw on top. Heaven and we had them last night. Happy Memorial Day to you. Judy C in NC
ReplyDeleteOk, we always boil them first ,the grill on charcoal too....i like mine when the skin blisters...but not burned lol
ReplyDeleteI can only eat them with homemade relish and grey poupon....
I want mine cooked over a fire on a sharpened stick!
ReplyDeleteI'm a mostly black and split kinda gal. The more stuff you can pile on it the better. I look like a 5 year old boy when I'm done eating one. goo everywhere but happy.
ReplyDeleteWhy almost black of course, just like my marshmallows. There is a process too for the marshmallows, you burn the outside, slip off the top layer, burn it again, and continue till there is none left! yum! Oh honey? Where is the hibachi?
ReplyDeleteNearly black for me please !
ReplyDeleteI like my hot dogs lightly grilled. ;o)
ReplyDeleteI'll have to keep reading to see your quilt.
Now I'm hungry. mmmm
