A Time For All Seasons February Block Of The Month

And we're off for another fun year of Sew Incredibly Crazy's block of the month.

This year is A Time For All Seasons...fun!

The February blocks are by Amy herself and they both have a lot of love in them.

I'm using fabric I bought last year, Northcott's Canvas, and love the look of it.

Love At First Spike

A Piece of My Hearts

Here's the basic quilt information:

62” x 74” quilt top (without outside borders)

5 rows across, 6 rows down

30 blocks (6 bonus blocks)

 2” sashings

4 yards background fabric (allows for extra if needed)

2 ½ yards sashing fabric

Miscellaneous fabrics of your choice for appliques, etc.

(A fat quarter bundle works great for this)

Riley Blake Designs Hesketh House Fabric Collection Blog Tour

It's my day of the Riley Blake Hesketh House fabric collection blog tour and I'm so
excited to share what I made with this beautiful, high quality quilting weight cotton by
Liberty Cotton. Riley Blake Designs is the official distributor in the United States.
Liberty Cotton, by Liberty Fabric, is high quality quilting weight cotton.
I know you will love it as much as I do!

Sun In My Eyes
42" x 42"

Hesketh House comes in several different color lines...all of them gorgeous!

I used the Hesketh House green fabrics for the Sun In My Eyes quilt.

With the Hesketh fabrics just bursting with color, it was perfect for the sun.

You can find "Sun In My Eyes" in Just Let Me Quilt's Etsy store HERE.

Valentine Sew Along On The ThermOWeb Blog This Week

I'm so excited about a Valentine Sew Along this week on the ThermOWeb blog!

Four Therm O Web designers (one of them is me) have created applique blocks for you that will

be shown over the next four days. All the blocks are 10 ½” x 10 ½” unfinished and can be made

with fat quarters and/or scraps. Patterns will be available with supplies and instructions.

On February 14^th the designers will share four projects and patterns using the blocks.

You can make one of the projects or all four…it’s up to you! Once you finish your blocks,

we’d love to see them on Instagram with the tag #thermowebsewalong.

The four ThermOWeb designers for this Valentine Sew Along are:

January 29 - Carol from Just Let Me Quilt (me)

January 30 - Amy from Ameroonie Designs

January 31 - Carla from Creatin In The Sticks

February 1 - Amy from Sew Incredibly Crazy

Today's block is Valentine Lock and Key

You can find this on the ThermOWeb blog HERE.

Of course, I used my favorite iron-on adhesive for this block, HeatnBond EZ Print Lite.

My Day In The Creatin' In The Sticks Black And White Blog Hop

Carla at Creatin' In The Sticks had such a fun idea when she planned this blog hop.

All we had to do is make something in black and white...I love it!

Sewing Circle
with Ghastlie fabric

Thank you, Carla, for hosting the Black and White Blog Hop!

Sewing with "A Ghastlie Craft" black and white fabric worked out perfectly with

the "Sewing Circle" quilt pattern. I like it even without the Ghastlies in it!
Ghastlie fabric is by Alexander Henry.
You can find the "Sewing Circle" pattern in Just Let Me Quilt's Etsy store HERE.

*The spider is optional

The Ghastlie family makes me smile!

It's kind of scary, but I feel so at home with them.

You won't want to miss one blog visit in this amazing black and white blog hop.

Prepare to be inspired!

As always, I use my favorite Heat n Bond EZ Print Lite sheets for my applique.

Valentine Love Bunnies Pillow

I love those chocolate Easter bunnies...do you eat the ears first? I do, I do!

There's no chocolate involved in the "Valentine Love Bunnies" pillow, but there is

definitely a lot of love happening between those two sweethearts. Very sweet!

I'm sharing some tips on the ThermOWeb blog today about using their products to easily put

this pillow together. Check it out and roam around a bit to see other amazing projects.

Heat n Bond Fusible Interfacing

EZ Print Lite Sheets (I love these printable sheets!)

Spray n Bond Basting Adhesive

Fabric Fuse Adhesive

Purple Tape

And...

Lucky me, I get to teach a raw edge applique class at Quilted Works on January 30th
for two Valentine pillows. They laser cut their kits so it's even easier to put them together.

You can find the patterns in Just Let Me Quilt's Etsy store HERE.

Fabrics are Riley Blake Designs "So Ruby" by Carina Gardner.

Riley Blake Designs "In Bloom" Blog Tour

The gold and cream sparkle fabric in Riley Blake Designs "In Bloom" by My Mind's Eye is so
beautiful! It was perfect for "Her Carriage Awaits" with it's sparkle, shine, and classy
glow. It was totally fitting for a royal carriage that any princess (or prince) would love!

Her Carriage Awaits

50" x 57"

These are gold In Bloom sparkle fabrics I used: Dot Gold Sparkle, Stripe Gold Sparkle,
Tonal Cream Sparkle, and Mini Dot Sparkle. You'll love how they really do sparkle!

I also used these Riley Blake Designs Confetti Cotton fabrics: Black, White, Honey, Gray.

Look at how gorgeous the other fabrics are in this line!

I love the flowers on the black background.

"Her Carriage Awaits" with two white horses.

Half square triangles are easy and look beautiful using Riley Blake fabrics!

I loved the Stripe Gold Sparkle for the border!

Visit Riley Blake Designs' blog for more projects using the "In Bloom" fabric line.
You can find "Her Carriage Awaits" in Just Let Me Quilt's Etsy store HERE.

There's A New Block Of The Month Happening In 2019

I'm totally excited about Sew Incredibly Crazy's new block of the month,

A Time For All Seasons, and can't wait to get started on the blocks!

There are four designers and we're having so much fun being creative.

They are the bestest friends ever and I am so glad they are a part of my life.

We've blogged together for a long, long, long time and I love them to pieces!

Amy at Sew Incredibly Crazy is the queen of the BOM and keeps all of us in line.

Her designs are awesome and she's one of my favorite go-to friends.
She gets my craziness and cheers me on when I need it most.

Carla at Creatin In The Sticks is amazing with all of her designs.

Fortunately for me (and for everyone else) she keeps me focused and sane.

She's also my partner in blog hop hosting and I couldn't do them without her.

Joan at Moosestash Quilting is a great designer and adds humor to this group.

She makes me laugh and you'll know what I mean if you visit her blog.

You'll always find a moose somewhere in our blocks...love it!

Then there's me, Carol at Just Let Me Quilt, but you already figured that out I'm sure.
Being a part of this BOM design team has been a beautiful experience.
The people who've sewn along with us have inspired me and kept me motivated.
Thanks to all of you!

I'm still working on getting the 2018 "It's A Wild Life" quilt finished. It was an unusually
rough year for all of us designers, and I've been running behind. I don't like that at all!

Here's the BOM quilts from the last few years...

In Our Garden

Sun, Sand, and Sea

There's a Facebook page where everyone shares what they've made and can ask questions.

Check it out HERE.

We'd love to have you LIKE our Facbook pages so we can get to know you better.

It would be fun to have you join in us in the A Time For All Seasons BOM.

The finished blocks will be seasonal/holiday and will all be the same size...10" x 10".
I've seen some of the blocks already...wow!

The Monkey Boys Grew And Grew And The Pillow Disappeared

Way back in 2012 I made a Christmas pillow in the Holiday Lane Blog Hop.

It's a free pattern by Jillily Studio that is easy and so adorable.

There were only a few Monkey Boys to rest their heads on the pillow in 2012.

And then the Monkey Boy numbers grew, and grew, and grew until the pillow disappeared

beneath them! Time has flown by and these boys melt my heart no matter what they do.

Monkey Baby obviously doesn't understand the concept of "pretend to sleep."

I'm so grateful my daughter took these photos and sent them to me.

Wishing you a very Happy New Year!
