Just A Little Wicked Halloween Mini Quilt

As a designer for ThermOWeb, I love when it's near a big holiday because that means our assignments are usually directed towards that holiday. With Halloween close by (YAY), that means it's all about spooky home decor. I get so excited about Halloween!

"Just A Little Wicked" is hanging out on the ThermOWeb blog today. Check out the blog for all the other Halloween projects you can make!

Mini Quilt - 12" x 15"

A witch hat and spider

Potion and snake

This mini quilt is so easy to put together, especially using my favorite ThermOWeb products.

Ironing Heat n Bond Light Weight Non-Woven Interfacing to the wrong side of fabric before adding applique designs gives it stability when sewing, especially when sewing small pieces.

Trace your applique designs on the Heat n Bond Lite Iron-on Adhesive or print it on Heat n Bond Lite EZ Print Sheets.

Once you cut out your applique designs, peeling off the back is a breeze...no scoring the paper to remove it!

Iron the applique design adhesive side down to the right side of fabric.

Sewing around the edges of the applique designs with a blanket stitch, straight stitch, or zig-zag stitch will hold the fabric in place even when washed. Use black thread for all of the stitching or use threads that match the fabrics. Either way can really accentuate your designs.

Before quilting, hand or machine embroider designs. You can get as creative as you want!

If pinning your quilt layers together doesn't sound fun to you, try Spray n Bond Basting Adhesive. Lightly spray the layers of fabric and Stitch n Sew High Loft Fleece to hold them in place. Let dry and it's ready for quilting.

Create corner pockets on the back using two 3½” x 3½” squares of fabric and Heat n Bond Lite Iron-on Adhesive. Follow package directions to iron the adhesive to wrong side of squares. Peel off protective paper and fold the squares in half diagonally; press on fold.

Place raw edges of folded corners in top corners of wall hanging back; glue in place using iCraft Liquid Fabric Fuse

Let dry and baste.

Add binding using your favorite method. Place dowel between the two corners.

The dowel hangs easily on a nail on a wall.
