Sometimes You Just Have To Laugh About It

I've taken a little break from sewing to hang out with the Monkey Boys
...can't help but laugh when I'm with them and the rest of the family!

It was a proud moment for the oldest Monkey Boy to receive a scout award, so of course a family
photo was necessary. Getting five boys to hold still, smile, and look at the camera at the same time is
quite a challenge if not impossible. Add grandpa ("Doodah") to the equation and things get crazy.

The guy in the window wasn't suppose to do that, but we had a good laugh over it. Luckily, I took a
few more pics without Doodah photo bombing them, but the little monkey never did hold still.

The EQ7 Seasons Row-A-Long is still going on, so don't miss downloading the patterns.
Some of them will not be free at the end of the RAL...hurry and get them NOW!
Want to be really nice and polite?
Take a minute to leave a comment thanking them for the ones you download.
The link on my blog for all the amazing rows can be found

October 6th is the Show and Tell Day of projects some of us made.
Here's a snippet from one of my projects...love those Northcott Fabrics!

This row is from Marian at Seams To Be Sew.

There's also the Dog Gone Cute blog hop that starts October 6th. Those dogs are so cute!
Lorna has instructions for making them on her blog, SEW FRESH QUILTS.

My blog hop day is October 8th. I can't wait to see all the dogs in this hop!

I hope you all are sewing away this week to make up for my lack of sewing!

  2. LOL what a funny photobomb!
My son has that green shirt too that your middle grandson is wearing.
BTW I assume it's Your daughter and then son-in-law? where is he from/ethnic? I just think genetics are fascinating since my husband is half korean, it's interesting to see our kids, what traits they got from him and me.

  4. Awe what a great picture- we just have the 4 kids and one is a girl and they always look like a bunch of hooligans but ya gotta love them. Sam just signed the two oldest boys up for scouts. I can't wait.

  5. Love the photo. Your daughter must be a busy momma with those monkeys. I am so glad you and Doodah are close by.
I love your blocks, and the row along is so interesting and fun. I am enjoying it.
Is the the order of the arrow award or something? My oldest daughter had a best friend in Jr High that was a Boy Scout.
I learned a lot back then as his mom had four boys. My daughter used to help with the summer camps for the little cubs

I am sooo ready to be back to sewing but it looks like another week or so before we paint the downstairs area where I can set up my sewing machine and crazy quilt things. I am going after a massage tomorrow.. I think I have earned 3 or 4. lol
