Dear Santa, I need your definition of "naughty" ASAP...
just in case I need to clean-up my act!
I love all the different ideas for appetizers that show up at parties this time of year.
Like...cranberry salsa or jalapeno jello on a slab of cream cheese.
What would you put on cream cheese for an appetizer?
I visited two Christmas parties at quilt stores today.
One at Quilted Works and one at Dave's Bernina...lots of fun and yummy food!
While I was partying, I picked up a little applique/machine embroidery package to play with. Now I just have to figure out how to do it. I know how to applique and I know how to machine embroidery, but I don't know how to put them together. Should be interesting!
I've been busy sewing on some Robert Kaufman Kona, so don't think I've been goofing off.
Waking Up To Kona starts on January 7th and the elves aren't stepping up to help me.
I'm on my own with the Kona fabric!

Now you did it. I have to put cream cheese on the list. I have a jar of sweet pepper jalapeno jam ready to spread on top of it. I like peach and raspberry with jalapeno jams also. Good stuff.
ReplyDeleteThat looks so yummy!! Have fun with your new pattern and project....I haven't done that either!
ReplyDeleteI had a recipe where you added shrimp to the cream cheese and you had a ketchup/horseradish sauce on top of it.
ReplyDeleteMmmm, mmm. That's a good one. Also try A-1 sauce--the guys love it.
ReplyDeleteI like the cream cheese spread on a thin slice of ham then wrapped around a spear of pickled asparagus, then sliced into bite-sized pieces!
ReplyDeleteI try not to eat cream cheese unless it's laced with sugar. Lots and lots of sugar. =) I ordered sunset charms, and they sent bright charms. =(
ReplyDeleteI don't bake much Carol but I do love cream cheese! Raspberry jalapeno jelly is my favorite topping and in second place is a sauce called Pickapeppa. Not sure about that spelling but I find it at Walmart usually, in the place where Worcestershire sauce is. blessings, marlene
