It's my day for Riley Blake Designs Boots and Spurs Blog Tour. Boots and Spurs was
designed by Samantha Walker...it is so cute and would look great in any project.!
My Pony Quilt and Pillow
This sweet fabric had me donning my cowboy boots and spurs as I sat at my sewing machine.
Okay, so maybe there were just pictures of boots and spurs on my flannel pajamas, but I was
definitely feeling the spirit of the great outdoors, hay, and cowboys with this adorable fabric!

I love all the colors and designs in the entire fabric line including that sweet pink!
The back of the pillow has a zipper that opens to put in the pillow form
and it could even store some pajamas in there.
I used ThermOWeb's Fabric Fuse to attach the zipper to the right side of the pillow back.
It was so easy!
Fold 19” squares in half, wrong
sides together. Press folds. Lay folded edges side-by-side with
about a 1/2”
gap between them. Use Fabric Fuse to secure zipper edges in place on the side that
will be facing out. It helps to turn it over as shown below to glue it without getting the glue on
the zipper teeth. Let dry. Using a straight or zig-zag stitch, sew one side
of zipper on one fabric
fold, right sides up. Repeat on other side of zipper.
Trim fabric so front and back are the same size.
Baste around edges of pillow
backing. Sew binding around the edges.
Even though we were tempted, we obeyed the sign.
The back of the quilt is nice and cozy with fleece backing.
I love my photo shoot helper!
