Joan at Moosestash Quilting had the perfect idea and challenge for February.
"Sweet on You" in the month of love gave us lots of ways to be creative!
CHALLENGE:
Are you sweet on treats?
Are you sweet on stitching a special project?
Are you sweet on, well anything you love?
As an ambassador for Benartex, they sent me some beautiful Valentine fabric to sew with.
I am definitely "sweet" on "Be My Gnomie" fabric!
Love and Kisses
55" x 75"
"Be My Gnomie" is full of "sweet" designs, that's for sure!
Benartex Chalk Texture Pink and Light Pink, and Superior Solids White went great with it.
I went with a simple wandering stitch for quilting and yes, I machine quilt all my bindings.
Hand stitching those bindings are way too much for these old hands!
This is another project using "Be My Gnomie" that I made.

Thank you for stopping by!
Love and Kisses and Be My Gnomie are as cute as buttons and bring a smile to my day.
ReplyDeleteWhat fun projects!! I like to machine sew bindings too. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI knew you'd make something beautiful, but you made TWO things that are beautiful. I can't decide which I like best, but I do like the shape of the hearts in the first one and the border in the second one. That's a great line of fabric. They are lucky to have you as an ambassador!
ReplyDeleteJust lovely!
ReplyDeleteGood morning Carol. These quilts are beautiful, and so cheery. This is a great fabric line, something that Benartex does well for sure.
ReplyDeleteThis is a great Love and Kisses quilt. Your designs for the x's and o's is a great modern take that I am totally sweet on. Great quilting too!!! The gnome quilt is the sweetest quilt, for sure!!!
ReplyDeleteTwo beautifully sweet quilts! The gnomes are wonderful.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful projects! I love the hearts in the Love and Kisses quilt. You did a great job with that gnomie fabric!!!
ReplyDeleteBoth of your projects are just the sweetest!
ReplyDeleteThose sweet Benartex fabrics would brighten anyone's day and you sure know how to design with them, to make them just "SING"! Love your "Love and Kisses" quilt as well as the "Gnomes"
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts are in the sweet variety. Love those hearts and Xs - not the run-of-the-usual and they have so much pizzazz. Totally sweet.
ReplyDeleteLove both of these quilts. I love the hearts and Xs - the style you choose is really fun! The cgnomies in the churn dash border are fabulous too. You had very sweet projects with awesome fabric for this hop!
ReplyDeleteThese are both just adorable, Carol! Love that fabric line!
ReplyDeleteTwo adorable quilts. Those X's and hearts are so modern and fun.
ReplyDeleteReally cute quilts. I love the little gnome one, but that x & o is so clever. Your fabric choices are just perfect and I love the appliquéd x and o.
ReplyDeleteOh, so cute, Carol! Love your clever designs - I'm especially intrigued by the fun stamp-edge and woven ribbon effects in your borders on the 2nd quilt. I'm with you on the machine-binding! My fingers get tingly after about 10 minutes of hand-stitching.
ReplyDeleteLove all your projects, but especially the Be My Gnomie. I got the panel but haven't had a chance to do anything with it yet.
ReplyDeleteLove both your projects, but the heart quilt is my favorite. You gave a new look to a popular pattern. The fabric you used are beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI love both projects but Love and Kisses has my heart.
ReplyDeleteBoth quilts are lovely!!!
ReplyDeleteI too, totally bind my quilts with my machine!
Really cute! I still stitch down the binding by hand; gives me something to do when I watch TV with my husband.
ReplyDeleteLove the shapes of your x's and o's so cute! Both quilts are fantastic.
