I have been a fan of J. Wecker Frisch and her designs for a long time, so her new Riley Blake Designs fabric line called "Old Made" was really exciting for me. I love the characters she creates!
A road trip to "Bootleg Canyon" in Boulder City was where we headed for photos of "The Old Made". The quilt measures 60" x 60".
The variety of fabrics in this line are so fun to sew with!
There are even zippers printed on the fabric which I used on the border.
Look how amazing her "cards" are!
The panel is incredible, too!
I could have taken dozens of photos of the lady on the panel and those cards...they are awesome!
This cat is pretty scary!
A sewing witch, black hat, needles, and a black cat all in one, wow!
Miss Phatquarter makes a wonderful fat quarter.
To have the cards be the right size to go next to the panel, it worked great to add a border and then use a 12 1/2" square ruler to fussy cut them a bit wonky.
The wind was really blowing but it added to our adventure.
My daughter joined our adventure and snuck in a pic of me taking a photo...sneaky girl.
As usual, my "crew" risks life and limb to help me get quilt photos.
Yes, that's quite a drop behind him!
The "crew" even took a tumble on loose rocks during this shot on a bike trail.
Whoops...sorry, babe! No pics of him because I was freaking out a bit.
He was fine thank goodness.

I'm so glad you stopped by!
Well what fun this panel piece is! The main panel and the little cards are a kick. You must have had a grand time playing old maid in the making of your quilt. It makes me smile this morning and brings back years of memories of playing the card game when we were kids.
