Riley Blake Designs Basics Stripes Blog Tour

One thing (among many) that I love about Riley Blake Designs fabrics is the versatility of
their basics. I use a lot of Confetti and Crayola fabrics in my quilts, but they also have
many other basics to create projects or add accents to them. Stripes are the focus of the
Basics blog tour this month at Riley Blake and they come in so many gorgeous colors.
I used the black and white stripes for a border in "The Little Apple Thief."

"The Little Apple Thief"
55" x 66"

That duck thinks he's clever snatching the apple!

It looks like the cow is definitely not amused with the duck's behavior.

Look at all these sweet stripes!

I also used the basics, Shades" in my quilt. The fabrics have a shabby look that makes
them so easy to blend into any project. "Shades" worked perfectly in my quilt.

You can find a PDF downloadable pattern of "The Little Apple Thief" in my Etsy Shop HERE.

I used my favorite iron-on adhesive for the applique...love it!
Heat n Bond's EZ Print Lite Sheets can be run through an inkjet printer...no tracing!
Heat n Bond Lite comes in sheets, too.

  3. Carol, your mind must be an interesting place! You come up with great whimsical ideas for your quilt patterns. I like the striped border and will have to look for those, because I can see a lot of applications for them. Thanks for sharing!

  4. Thanks so much Carol! I love the monkeys jumping on the bed. I made a children's songs quilt from 2018 Row by Row rows. This would have fit well!
