Something Wicked Begins

I love Halloween (in case you didn't already know that)!
You know what else I love? Seeing what my friends created for this blog hop.

I had some Benartex "Chills and Thrills" fabric and panel just waiting for me to sew something.

CHILLS AND THRILLS

I appliqued a couple ghosts just for fun.

I bordered it with the Chills and Thrills fabric.
It glows in the dark, too!

I love all the characters on the panel...spooky!

I'm still working on getting the J. Wecker Frisch queens quilted.
I love these queens!

Check out what all these wickedly wonderful friends created!
Please give them all a visit and leave a comment.
Kind words go a long way in building confidence in our sewing abilities.

Without all of you and your encouragement, I wouldn't be where I am today
in how and what I've sewn over the years. You rock my creative world!

There are only two blog hops left after "Something Wicked" and then Joan and I
are closing our doors to blog hops. We'll still be around, but we're taking time
for other things. Thank you so much for your friendships and inspiration!

  1. Both pretty quilts. I have never seen glow in the dark fabric. That is perfect for Halloween.

  2. The added ghosts are perfect on the 1st quilt, especially since you can see through the ghosts (like real ghosts?), lol! And I did say in my posting this morning that you are the Queen of Halloween, and now you have the quilt of Queens, so see I was right!!! Great quilts!!! Thanks for another fun blog hop, Carol!

  3. I love both of those quilts! The Chills and Thrills panel is amazing, and I like the border treatment--neat way to play up the fabric. J Wecker Frisch cannot be beat with her cool designs! Love those queens! I agree with Daryl that you are the Queen of Halloween! Thanks for hosting all these hops over the years!

  14. LJ here. Your quilt "Chills & Thrills" is wonderful. I love how you added the ghosts (& you can see through them!!). It's great that some of the panel is glow-in-the-dark. I am in love with J. Wecker Frisch. I don't think I remember this particular panel of queens. It needs a special touch to finish and you are just the person to do that.
