There are days when I leave my house to run errands and it really feels like
"It's A Jungle" out there! With my "angry knee" still bugging me, I move so slow
and worry about being trampled by elephants and giraffes at the grocery store.
Okay, it only feels like there are elephants and giraffes in my stores when I'm limping along.
Thank goodness Joan's blog hop challenge isn't really out there in a jungle,
but her challenge is just my speed!
The Challenge: Animals, plants, trees…what’s in your jungle?
For some of us, it might even be our sewing rooms.
The Benartex fabric in this quilt is "Starlight Safari" by Lorraine Turner.
The lion panel is surrounded by the beautiful prints in this fabric line.
I'm working on getting my angry knee to let me stand long enough to quilt this flimsy.
My pile of need-to-be-quilted projects are getting out of control.
It's a jungle of flimsy's!
Check out the rest of the jungle crew!
"Bee Kind" is all Joan's in September!
The Challenge: September is the time to remember that a little kindness goes a long way.
Share your “kind” projects. Your favorite charity project, a free online pattern or anything
that shows you spread a little kindness, everywhere you go. The Bee's are an important part
of life as well, and we all need to be kind to them too!
That makes this hop the perfect place to share your Bee Quilts!
Contact Joan if you want to play along in "It's A Jungle" and or "Bee Kind".
"Something Wicked" is hosted by ME in October.
The Challenge: I think this is self-explanatory, don't you.
Let me know if you want to jump on your broom for "Something Wicked."
I love seeing all of your projects using Benartex fabrics, Carol, and this lion quilt definitely fits the bill for this Jungle Blog Hop! Sorry about your knee! Don't overdo it. The tops can wait to be quilted, but you need some "me" time for yourself. Be sure to rest and ice your knee. I know someone who just had knee surgery and is recovering now.
ReplyDeleteCute quilt, Carol! You're right--that blue is lovely! Be careful with that knee...no sense in making it worse.
ReplyDeleteThat is a gorgeous lion print. Glad you can sew again and hoping your knee lets you quilt soon. Hang in there my friend!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt that does justice to that magnificent lion!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt and beautiful panel. Hope your angry knee feels better soon. I have one of those too, and I am limping along a lot of days with you.!
ReplyDeletegreat quilt! Hope your knee is better soon
ReplyDeleteBeautiful quilt! Those lions look amazing.
ReplyDeleteI hope that your knee heals up soon. I tripped and fell yesterday while I was out walking, but luckily escaped hitting my face or head. However, the rest of me wishes that I had avoided that uneven sidewalk and ignored the cats who were having a meeting across the street.
Oooh, what a majestic lion! That piercing blue eye of his contains so much knowledge....including knowing when your angry knee will be as good as new! So many vibrant colors in this flimsy and I know it will be just awesome when finished!
ReplyDeleteI love your lion!!! I hope your knee starts behaving soon!! That's no fun - to be in pain! Especially when it hinders your quilting!! Take care ...
