The White Rabbit is definitely ready to go hopping...are you?
My day is today and I'm ready to share what I made.
The challenge was:
There is a tradition for people to say “white rabbit” on the first day of the month (have you
ever heard of this?) The phrase is supposed to bring good luck for the rest of the month.
Even President Roosevelt did this!
My White Rabbit quilt is actually more "Alice in Wonderlandish".
I usually feel exactly like him with the whole, "I'm late" thing.
I'm late! I'm late! For a very important date!
No time to say hello, goodbye!
I'm late! I'm late! I'm late!
I am a HUGE fan of J. Wecker Frisch's fabric and can't resist the urge to buy it when I see it.
I might just have a whole lot of it in my stash!
I love her "Mad Masquerade" and "Queen of "We'en" fabrics.
"THE WHITE RABBIT"
60" x 70"
"The White Rabbit" hanging out with Big Horn Sheep in Hemingway Park, Boulder City, Nevada.
He was double-dog-daring me to pet him!
Nooo...I don't even try!
I've seen people try to pet them.
I think they have "stupid" written on their foreheads.
They are at the park everyday, but they do not let you pet them.
If you look close, you'll see a white rabbit in the outer border fabric.
Look! Look! Look! It's A Giveaway!
One winner gets to go shopping.
You have to comment to be entered to win a $20 gift certificate from the Quilt Taffy store.
So many fabulous "White Rabbit" blog hoppers this week...check them out.
Please leave a short and sweet comment to let us know you've been here.
We all love comments!

I'm thinking it is because I do not make many posts over the past 2 years. Good Luck with the Blog! Your Urban Elements pattern is a perfect fit for your quilt. I'm quite envious! It is just gorgeous!

ReplyDeleteLove your quilt.....and how amazing to live close to the giant bunny for a photo shoot!
ReplyDeleteSew cute!!
ReplyDeleteSo fun! The photo of the quilt with the bunny is mind blowing because the quilter's brain tries to figure out the scale...the rabbit can't be THAT big, or maybe it's a mini quilt, but the hands holding the quilt give away the true scale!
ReplyDeleteAdorable white rabbit quilt! I love the pictures of with the Big Horn Sheep and the giant rabbit.
ReplyDeleteFantastic Quilt! I love the quilting on it. It really enhances the design.

ReplyDeleteI have never heard about saying "white rabbit" on the first of the month! I wonder where that came from?
ReplyDeleteWell...this is LJ. I've tried to sign in with my Google Account. It doesn't work. :( Just wanted you to know that your white rabbit must be having a wonderful time visiting. Thank you for mentioning the outside border fabric - how cute it is. Thanks for not 'petting'; there are always some that don't understand "wild" animals and think they are immune to the wild creatures reactions!
ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful quilt, and what a beautiful setting for the photography!
ReplyDeleteCarol, what a perfect quilt for this challenge! I've never heard of that saying on the first of the month...very interesting! Oh yes, you took off to the most perfect spot for getting photos of your rabbit quilt. You don't see those rabbit statues just anywhere! Your creations always amaze me.
