It Is Time For The Foodie Blog Hop To Begin

It is definitely time to get this Foodie Blog Hop on the road, or on the blog I should say.
That amazing Carla at Creatin' in the Sticks had a fabulous idea for this month's blog hop challenge!

Carla's Blog Hop Challenge:

Create something to do with food.
It could be anything from a quilt with a food fabric, to a tea cozy.
A mug rug for coffee to an apron.
A Corn and Beans Quilt Block to a drying rack for the kitchen.
Maybe you are trying to raise money for a charity that supplies food.
You decide!
The theme is really your own interpretation, surprise us!

It's my day to share!

Blueberry Ben's Bakery
50" x 50"

Blueberry Ben's Bakery was sewn using Benartex's "Blueberry Hill" by Kanvas Studio.
Such fun and yummy sounding names for them!

Blueberry Bush Sky Blue SKU# 12635-54

Blueberry Treats Black SKU# 12637-12

Blueberry Desserts Blue SKU# 12639-55

Blueberry Jamboree Sky Blue SKU# 12640-54

Sweet Blueberries Black SKU# 12641-12

Blueberry Hill Gingham Bluewht SKU# 12644-51

Tossed Blueberry Muffins Black SKU# 12645-12

The winds never seem to stop around here, but it definitely helped to show off the backing!

Sunflower Whisper Purple by Kanvas Studios in 108" wide, SKU#9936W-66,
was a sweet addition as the backing.

There are recipes on the fabric!

The baker, Blueberry Ben looks a little/a lot gnomish.

Applique is my favorite addition to quilting and I couldn't do it without using ThermOWeb's
Heat n Bond Lite EZ Print Sheets. Print, iron, cut...no tracing!

Let the baking begin!

A gingham mixer would be awesome!

Blueberry pie and muffin anyone?

Maybe just a bowl full of blueberries with a spoonful of jelly for breakfast?

Adding a scalloped border of mixed fabrics and gingham binding finished the quilt.

You can find the pattern for Blueberry Ben's Bakery HERE.

I can guarantee I'll put on 20 pounds after seeing all the incredible "foodie" projects!

I know what you mean about the wind, we are past our normal "windy" season, but the winds weren't informed about that and have been blowing daily! Fires up north in our Las Vegas has been horrible. We need rain! Anyhow, you make the BEST quilts Carol!!!
