My Day In The Creatin' In The Sticks Black And White Blog Hop

Carla at Creatin' In The Sticks had such a fun idea when she planned this blog hop.
All we had to do is make something in black and white...I love it!

Sewing Circle
with Ghastlie fabric

Thank you, Carla, for hosting the Black and White Blog Hop!

Sewing with "A Ghastlie Craft" black and white fabric worked out perfectly with
the "Sewing Circle" quilt pattern. I like it even without the Ghastlies in it!
Ghastlie fabric is by Alexander Henry.
You can find the "Sewing Circle" pattern in Just Let Me Quilt's Etsy store HERE.

*The spider is optional

The Ghastlie family makes me smile!

It's kind of scary, but I feel so at home with them.

You won't want to miss one blog visit in this amazing black and white blog hop.
Prepare to be inspired!

As always, I use my favorite Heat n Bond EZ Print Lite sheets for my applique.

  19. I love Heat n Bond Lite for all those applique projects. They tend to be my favorite even though they seem to take me much longer to work on. Great quilt! Those faces...hahaha

  20. Like your other fans, I, too, love the ghastlies. My kind of friends! I don't recall who designed that line and wish you had mentioned it. I am recently being drawn into fusible applique and definitely like the convenience of printable s, though I am going to use regular paper back fusible first because that is what I already have on hand.

And black and white? So modern and appealing. Thanks for the blog post and thanks for the inspiration.

  42. Carol, I know I can always count on you for an adorable quilt. You sure have started this hop off with a great quilt. Seeing those large scissors, I think that's a message that I need to get my locks cut and donated again for a kid to have a wig. Before I began chemo 14 years ago, I had my waist length hair cut and donated it for kids to have wigs. The lady told me that it was long enough and thick enough for probably two kids to have wigs. Since then I've had very short curly hair and then I decided to grow my hair again. It's a small thing I can do even though it's not as thick to give to a child. Now that I'm older, I usually wear it twisted and up. The curl sure is a challenge for tangles. Now I'll think about your quilt and giggle. Thanks for a great start to the hop.
