(The rows are great for those Halloween scraps of fabric hiding in your stash.)
Starting August 1st, one or two rows will be shared each month.
There will be 12 rows of applique and/or piecing.
They will be a mystery until they get released on the first of each month.
The row(s) will be free the month they are released and then they will
mysteriously disappear and magically appear in my Etsy store for a small fee.
We have a Facebook page called "Cackling Stitches" where we share Halloween projects.
"Scared Silly" rows will be shared on my blog and on FB so be sure to follow one to get updates.

The Last Blog Hop Is Coming Soon
It is really a good/bad thing for Joan and I to stop hosting blog hops,
but it is time to move on to new adventures.
The upcoming Virtual Christmas Cookie Blog Hop has been a challenge for me.
I have messed up dates, logos, and links.
Thank goodness for Joan and my wonderful blog people for keeping me in line.
I'd say this is definitely time for me to say good-bye to blog hops!
But...
This will be so fun!
Look who will be joining this last blog hop:

Gnome For Thanksgiving Blog Hop - My Day
I'm thinking Joan did this blog hop for me...I love gnomes for all seasons!
JOAN'S CHALLENGE: To “Gnome” them is to love them!
Throw a little Thanksgiving twist into your “Gnomie” project!
Or anything that shows your thankful!
Finding a gnome in my EQ stash was easy (again, I do love gnomes!)
With a few changes in size and borders, I came up with this small throw quilt.
PILGRIM GNOME
Size: 40" x 40"
Fabrics: Benartex Basics
I am so thankful for these amazing ladies for inspiring me.
Check out how creative they are!

There is a Pinterest page for all these gnome beauties HERE.
The last blog hop for Joan and I will be the Virtual Christmas Cookie Blog Hop.
Let me know if you want to share something...quilts, recipes, dolls, bags, etc.
If it's Christmas, we'd love to see it!

Memory Quilt With Shirts Or T-Shirts
My nephews wife asked me to make four quilts using her recently passed dad's shirts.
Because the word "no" is apparently not part of my vocabulary, I said, "Yes."
Memory Quilt, 55" x 55"
With buttons being a hazard for my needles, I did a meandering scribble design for quilting.
There was a scarf among the shirts that was special to the family,
so I made a stuffed heart and added a pocket on the back of the quilt.
I bagged all four up so they were ready for delivery.
Four of the grandsons wore one of their grandpa's shirts to church.
As a special treat for them, I made a pillow for each of them, one for a niece, and an extra one
that will go to grandpa's brother. A heart made from the scarf went in the center.
Most of the shirts were stretchy, so they needed to be stabilized for easier assembly. I think the best
way is to
use Heat N Bond EZ-Tee Stabilizer or a light weight iron-on interfacing on the back of
the shirt block. It keeps
the t-shirts from stretching out of shape while sewing.
Here are the instructions for this memory quilt (not the pillow) or
you can download the pattern HERE. If you right click on the pattern
photo below, you can save it to your computer.
If you have any questions, let me know.
