As always, I use my favorite Heat n Bond EZ Print Lite sheets for my applique.

I'm Loving That It's Halloween Time!

What's not to love about Halloween time and all it's creepy orange, black, and purple goodness!

Plus, it's the only time of year that my sister and I can show who we really are. 

Care for a poison apple or maybe a hot cup of witch's brew?

I didn't do any day-after-Christmas shopping this morning...I stayed home.

I went from room-to-room, but there were no Monkey Boys in sight.

There might have been a little sighing, whining, and wistful thinking going on.

I managed to do a little sewing, a little cleaning, and a little organizing.

I made an emergency trip to Quilted Works for their After-Christmas Sale.

Barb and Anika totally helped me look around the store for a cure.

After buying a few yards of Christmas and Halloween sale fabric I felt so much better!

I visited Quilted Works today and saw this amazing
Ghastlie Family Tree quilt: (sorry, awful quality of a phone photo)

The quilting is just beautiful on it!

Wicked--Day 6 AND The Ghastlie Bag

Have I ever told you that I'm terrible at following patterns and directions?

I think I've mentioned it a few times.

Making this bag was no different. I started with the Simplicity #2357 pattern,

but it wasn't quite right for what I wanted, so....

I made it bigger, the strap got longer, a slot for a pocket was added, and

my Ghastlie block was set-in one of the fabric pieces.

I liked it better, of course.

It's perfect for my on-the-go quilty projects

(with a pocket for my scissors and other necessities.)
