Riley Blake Designs Painter's Palette Blog Tour

One of the newest fabrics released by Riley Blake Designs is Painter's Palette.
It was designed by J. Wecker Frisch and is full of bright and happy colors.
I think you'll love them as much as I do!

As I planned and petted the fabric, I was struck by all the amazing colors and designs. They
just popped right out at me and made me feel like I was in the middle of a colorful garden.
Kind of like a "Carnival Garden" full of color and excitement.

Finished size is 48" x 60"

I loved the carousel for these photos...such fun!

The colors in the carousel were lovely with the beautiful fabrics in Painter's Palette.

J. Wecker Frisch is so creative with her designs and fabric.

"Painter's Palette by J. Wecker Frisch for Riley Blake Designs is great for quilting,
apparel and home decor. This print features tossed posies on a tone-on-tone background."

You can find the PDF instructions for making "Carnival Garden" HERE.

Blend Fabrics Junglemania Child's Bag

Therm O Web's designers had a fun opportunity to sew projects for Blend Fabrics booth
at a quilt show. This little bag was quick and easy to make, and the Junglemania fabrics
were totally adorable.  Visit Therm O Web's blog today to see other fun projects like this!

I used Geta Gramma’s Geta’s Mini Belle pattern for this bag. Geta makes incredible bags and
this is now my very favorite one. Sewing it with Blend’s “Junglemania” made it even cuter!
It measures 9” x 10½” x 2½” and I added a fussy cut “Junglemania” piece from the fabric
panel. Isn’t that face sweet! I used two coordinating fabrics for the bag inside and outside:
Junglemania’s Jungle Pink and Sigrid Green.

Look at these cute faces!

Have you seen the cute new iron by Oliso? It's small and so easy to use
for quick ironing, but it works great for big projects, too.

Elephants In The Riley Blake Designs Designer Flannels Blog Tour

I can't think of anything more cozy and sweet than to snuggle up in a warm flannel blanket,
especially when it is as soft and beautiful as Riley Blake Designs designer flannels.
It's definitely a perfect cuddle fabric to use in a quilt or pajamas!

Elmer and Ema are little quilts for any toddler as they measure 26" x 36"
without counting the ears or paws. Just right for dragging around!

I used two different flannel fabrics for Elmer and Ema:
Flannel Jungle Animals in blue and Flannel Kisses in orange.

Confetti Cottons are always a great addition to any quilt, including this one.
The eyes, ears, trunks, and paws are all made with Confetti Cottons.

Elmer has red suspenders with big buttons

Ema has a flower on her top...

...and a little ruffled skirt

Elmer and Ema are so easy to make!
You can find the patterns for both of them in my Etsy store HERE.

The Riley Blake Designs blog has a ton of amazing projects and inspiration!

I love using Heat n Bond EZ Print Sheets for my applique. No tracing!

I'm so glad you stopped by to see my elephants in the Jungle Animals flannel!

Santa Wishes And Treats Cookie Rug

Everyone knows that in order to get on Santa’s good side, it’s important to set out cookies
for him on Christmas Eve.  I hear that chocolate chip is his favorite cookie and he usually
likes  a glass of milk or warm cocoa to wash it down. Having this cookie rug to store the
cookie and  a note full of wishes will definitely get Santa’s attention.

I'm on the Therm O Web blog today sharing instructions for making this...check it out HERE.

You can find the free PDF download HERE.

I made a similar smaller one a few years ago. You can find this pattern HERE.

I made this one for a blog hop a long, long time ago.

I really like to make sure Santa is happy!

My First Pincushion Swap

I have to admit, not only is this my first pincushion swap, it's my first swap ever.
Beaquilter called for people to join her swap and I jumped in with a "yes."
All I have to do is swap three pincushions with three different people.

And then I panicked. What the heck am I doing in a pincushion swap!
I started freaking out that the first recipient, Holly, wouldn't like what I made.
Maybe it wouldn't be good enough. Yikes!

I then I calmed down and said to myself, "GET OVER IT!"
Sometimes I have to step out of my comfort zone, so I did.

Holly likes Tim Holtz fabrics and a little steampunk...

I survived my first swap...whew!
Now two more to go. I'll be fine. I think. Maybe. LOL

It's Day Five And My Day Of The Halloween Witchy Stitchy Blog Hop

I've been so charged up with inspiration from all the incredible projects in the
Halloween Witchy Stitchy Blog Hop. Frankenstein would be over-the-top electrified with
all the happenings here! Now it's my day to share some of my wicked projects and
I'm so glad you've stopped by to trick or treat on my blog (no candy, sorry!)

If you didn't know it already, my phone ringtone has been the Munster Theme for over 15 years.
Yes, I do love everything Halloween!

"Wicked Party"
Some of my favorite Halloween creatures are headed to the party!
50" x 50"

I finished this while I was at a day sewing retreat with friends.
My friend's house is amazing and has an incredible view of Las Vegas.
It was a smoggy day, so the view was not as beautiful as usual.
I might have gotten a little photo crazy...sorry.

Nancy's dog, Lily, is always such a good sport, but she was totally bored this time.

Brenda's husband makes brooms that are ready to fly...I'm in awe at the workmanship!

I bought the one on the left. I can't wait to take it out for a midnight ride!

It was fun to have Brenda blog hop and retreat with me!

I've been busy with a few other Halloween projects the last few months.

You can find patterns for my Halloween quilts in my Etsy store HERE.

Wondering how to do this blog hop thing?
Start with the first name on the current day and click on it.
Once you're at that blog, see all the Halloween goodness and then click on
the next name on the list (they will have the list on their blog, too.)
Keep going to each blog (comments are very much welcomed) until you're done.

Come back the next day and start the process all over. It will last five days and be
full of incredible sewing and quilting inspiration. Not all of it will be scary, so don't
be afraid to check them out. You will be in awe of everything, I'm sure!

Ready to go to the next stop?
I have a giveaway!
