Riley Blake Designs Flutter And Shine Blog Tour

I just can't help it...I am all aflutter over Riley Blake Designs' Flutter and Shine fabric. I think
you will be, too! Flutter and Shine by Melanie Collette of Hello Melly Designs is great for
quilting, apparel and home decor. My lap quilt, "Good Morning, Beautiful" is 48" x 48".

Good Morning, Beautiful!
Pattern can be found HERE

The binding was made with 2 1/2" x 6 1/2" rectangles sewn together into a long strip.

Flutter and Shine...oh so pretty!

My favorite iron-on adhesive for applique is Heat n Bond's EZ Print Lite Sheets
I run them through my computer...no tracing. Plus, the protective paper peels off so EASY!

Have a beautiful day!

Therm O Web Summer Fun Sew Along

Every other month Therm O Web has a sew along that offers four free block patterns
and four free projects to use them in. This month's theme is Summer Fun and the blocks
measure 6 1/2" x 6 1/2". With four free projects to choose from, it's a great deal!

I put my blocks together to create a travel quilt and I'm sharing some details on the
Therm O Web blog today. Check it out! You can find "My Travel Quilt" pattern HERE.

We were at Quail Creek right at sunset to take photos...it was beautiful!

I added a pocket on the back to store the important stuff while traveling.

Of course, I had my best crew member along for the photo taking!

I used a bit of Michael Miller fabric for my blocks and quilt. I love their gingham fat quarter bundle!

You can find all the blocks for the projects by following the "HERE" links:

Just Some Stuff Like A Blog Hop And Life

Sign-ups are still happening for the Halloween "Witchy Stitchy" blog hop.
Email me if you want to play!

Monday starts the projects for the Therm O Web "Summer Fun" sew along.

I actually had some fun other than sewing...

I love when the cactus bloom

Monkey Boys and us at Gunlock Reservoir

The falls aren't always there, but when they are they are beautiful!

Those Monkey Boys just keep getting bigger and bigger.
Monkey Baby didn't get to come...next year for sure!

Monkey Boy Number Four

Monkey Boy Number Three

Monkey Boy Number Two

Monkey Boy Number One

Rock skipping with their grandpa

This guy had to leave the ground to throw his rock

His little brother wanted to go out to the middle so of course, his brother carried him out there

We also played in the water with the Monkey Boy family

My son won some tickets to the Hugh Jackman show in Las Vegas. He couldn't go, so he let his
little sister and me have the tickets. Loved it and had a great time even in the nosebleed section!

I hope your summer has been not too hot and fun!

Riley Blake Designs Seasonal Basics Blog Tour (Again)

I got a little ahead of the blog tour and posted this a week early...whoops!
So, here is my Riley Blake Designs Seasonal Basics post (again) on the right day.
Sorry (not sorry) that you have to see it again. It was such a fun quilt to design and sew!

Everything always goes together perfectly wicked with Riley Blake Designs fabrics, especially
when it's their Seasonal Basics Halloween fabrics: Gunnysack, Pin Dots, and Stripes. There's
also those spooky Halloweenish solids of Eggplant, Cheddar, Black, and Inchworm to add to the
mix. It's a combination that can make a project beautiful or creepy. I was looking for a little bit of
both for my quilt "Stirring Up Trouble" and the fabrics totally gave me what I wanted!

These four sisters are definitely stirring up something that is probably a bit scary.

A few of the fabrics I used...

You can find the fabrics at local quilt stores or online...

Riley Blake Halloween Stripes HERE

I love these Crayola Halloween boxes of solid fabrics, too! You can find them HERE.

Visit Riley Blake Design's Blog for more fun ideas to use with their fabrics!

You can find the pattern for "Stirring Up Trouble in my Etsy store HERE.
It's never too early to sew for Halloween.

My favorite iron-on adhesive for applique is Heat n Bond's EZ Print Lite Sheets.
I run them through my computer...no tracing!

Free Patterns With Therm O Web Summer Fun Sew Along

There's another sew along at Therm O Web and this one is all about “Summer Fun.”
Four free applique patterns are ready to sew that were created by Therm O Web fabric
designers. The unfinished 6 ½” x 6 ½” blocks can be made with fat quarters and/or scraps.

Once you have your blocks sewn, visit the Therm O Web blog during the week of  July 29th to
August 1st for projects to use those blocks in. Free patterns will be available with a list of
supplies and instructions. While you're there, check out all the other amazing projects to make!
My block is Beach Boy Freddie's Pool Day

The applique blocks are so easy when using HeatnBond EZ Print Lite Sheets, Iron-on Adhesive.
The EZ Print Lite Sheets use an inkjet printer so there’s no tracing. If you’d rather trace your
designs, Heat n Bond Lite, Iron-on Adhesive is the way to go. Both products have a protective
paper that easily peels off when you’re ready to apply the designs.

You'll find all the blocks and links at the Therm O Web blog HERE.

Just Saying...You Inspire Me

In case I haven't mentioned it lately, you inspire me. I'm grateful for that! Your blog posts have kept me going through good times ...
