Dresden Quilt With Moda's Manderley Fabric

I loved sewing a couple quilts for Therm O Web's Quilt Market booth in Houston this year using
Moda's Manderley Fabric. I was so happy to have some fabric leftover to sew one more quilt.

It's a Dresden quilt in Manderley Fabric...sweet sewing!

This was the bundle of fabric I started with:

I made this little mini Sleepy Bunny Snuggle...

and this child's quilt, Three Bears Snuggle.

It's was a great deal to make use of such a beautiful bundle of fabric!

I've been baking for the Virtual Cookie Exchange.
Here's a little peek at what I'm baking...

I'm so excited about all the ladies who will be baking for this blog hop beginning December 5th.

There's room for you if you want to bake, too...just let me know.
I'd love to see what you bake up for the holidays!

It's Never Too Early To Make A Christmas Gift

It's over a month until Christmas arrives, but it's never to early to get started on Christmas projects and gifts. I started with this Santa mug rug and I'm over at the Therm O Web blog today showing
how I made it. Be sure to check out the Therm O Web blog for more Christmas gift ideas!

Dear Santa Mug Rug

Therm O Web iron-on vinyl on the back helps protect furniture from drippy drinks.

There's a pocket for a letter to Santa, too.

Fill a basket or container with a mug, some yummy hot chocolate packets, marshmallows, and
cookies to take to your friends or neighbors as a Christmas gift. Santa will love you for it!

You can find this pattern at Just Carol's Craftsy store HERE.

Trunk Full Of Quilts 2016

I love, love, love that Soma from Whims and Fancies is doing the
Trunk Full of Quilts link-up again! Thanks, Soma!

Online Quilt Trunk Show | Whims And Fancies

There was my creation of a Grinch quilt...I love that guy!
It is definitely my favorite Christmas quilt.

The reindeer quilt was so fun to make and Rudolph has a very shiny nose!

The Dresden Love Quilt...I do love those Dresdens!

Another Dresden using Amanda Herring's fabric plus a doll and apron to go with it.

My Little Round Bag makes a great tote for sewing.

Spring Party Quilt
"Spring is nature's way of saying 'Let's Party!'" ~Robin Williams

Row quilts are such a breeze to make and this one has a little bunny in a pocket.

I love ice cream and so does this little pup who's catching a few sweet drips.
Summer Treats quilt

I have a son-in-law who is crazy about sci-fi shows like me.
This is a Star Wars quilt I made just for him.

Sweet Memories T-Shirt Quilt for my hubby who had lots of event t-shirts for this quilt.

This was a simple quilt of flowers in a Deco Foil vase.
Isn't that a fabulous view behind it!

It's All About The Flowers with this quilt. I loved the fabrics!

I made a couple quilts with cuddle fabric on the back for two of my nieces.
The fabric has designs by Cori Dantini...she's amazing!

This Halloween quilt used another design by Cori Dantini.
I dressed the pumpkin head up with a flower and some shine using Deco Foil.

Being part of a group of amazing ladies who designed rows for My Road Home was great!
My row was from Las Vegas which is, and always will be, my home.

These two snuggle quilts went to Quilt Market in Houston this year to help introduce
Therm O Web's new Soft and Stretch applique product just for knits. It was amazing!
They were sewn using fleece and Moda fabrics.

This one was a hit with my family who are all Walking Dead fans.
A little creepy, but I like creepy!

I hope you enjoyed the stroll through my latest projects.

It All Started With New Floors

I'm still here, somewhere under a big mess that's slowly getting cleaned up.
I'm not sure what happened, but it all started with new floors...

...and that's when things got out of hand and it started to snowball:

A new shower...the old one had leaked and everything needed to be ripped out and replaced.

Paint on ALL the walls...yes, I was crazy when I took that on.
Two bathrooms left to paint and then I'm done! Thankfully, the hubby has been helping paint.
He told me not to climb on the ladder when he wasn't there.
Like that was going to happen! It was a short ladder so I did it anyway
and sent him a picture of me doing what he told me not to do. Hahahaha!

New rugs...the old ones didn't match the new tile and looked like they needed to be replaced.

A bedspread for my room because the old one looked worn out against the new floors and paint.

A back splash for the kitchen...I saw this when I was buying paint.
Had to have it and installed it all by myself...love it!

Lamps and table for the guest room...the Monkey Boys got the old furniture for their house.
Now that room needs a new bedspread!

Paint for my cutting table. It is such a pretty color, but no time to paint it yet.

Cleaning, lots of deep down cleaning. New flooring made such a dusty mess!

Oh, and I had the three-going-on-four year old Monkey Boy staying with me for a week.
Loved it, but he was such a busy boy!
He's a grandma's boy right now, so when I went to a ladies dinner for a few hours he
kept asking his grandpa (Doodah) when I was coming home and if he could Facetime me.
Too cute!
The two of us went on a hike while Doodah rested his bad back.
Yes, that occurred in the middle of all this, too! He's feeling better, thank goodness!

Somewhere in this chaos I managed to sew a few things, but most of my
sewing stuff is still boxed up in the garage waiting for me to unpack it.
I can't wait to get that room back to its usual orderly/messy condition!

I'm behind on the In Your Garden BOM.
I DO NOT LIKE BEING BEHIND!
I should have last months blocks done today...hopefully.
Then on to this month's blocks.

Then there's cookie baking that needs to be done.
Won't you join me in a virtual cookie exchange?
