Blog Hop's That Are Coming And Sign-Ups

We're over half-way through the year of blog hops...WHAT!
I haven't even had time to sew all the things that inspired me from jumping around those blogs.

Check out and sign-up for these up and coming blog hops:

"It's A Jungle!" is hosted by Joan at Moosestash Quilting in August.

The Challenge: Animals, plants, trees…what’s in your jungle?
For some of us, it might even be our sewing rooms.

YIKES! Joan is hosting two blog hops in a row. Busy lady!

"Bee Kind" is all Joan's in September!

The Challenge: September is the time to remember that a little kindness goes a long way.
Share your “kind” projects. Your favorite charity project, a free online pattern or anything
that shows you spread a little kindness, everywhere you go. The Bee's are an important part
of life as well, and we all need to be kind to them too!
That makes this hop the perfect place to share your Bee Quilts!

Contact Joan if you want to play along in "It's A Jungle" and or "Bee Kind".

"Something Wicked" is hosted by ME in October.

The Challenge: I think this is self-explanatory, don't you.

Let me know if you want to jump on your broom for "Something Wicked."

Something Smells Fishy Day Four

It's the last day to sail the seas for "Something Smells Fishy"!

The challenge was:
Fish or creatures from the ocean in fabrics, appliques, quilts, stuffies, or bags.
If it looks fishy, it meets the challenge.
It must be something new you've sewn for this hop.

Check out my fishy friends projects:

I went all the way to the Artic to find the fish fabric for this challenge.

Chillin' Before Lunch
(Fabrics: Benartex Arctic Friends by Kanvas Studios)

It was at least 200 degrees outside when I took my photos and there were bees and wasps
flying around trying to get a taste of me. Sometimes quilt photo taking is a dangerous task!
Fast and furious was the way to take pics.

I didn't get this Steampunk fishy flimsy quilted yet. Soon I hope!

I'm seriously crazy about these characters, even the scary fish one!

Having flowering plants and fruit trees is nice until those nasty things try to get me.
These Donut Peaches and Paradise Apples were worth the danger!

This free pattern can be found HERE.

Something Smells Fishy Starts Monday

My sewing room has had something fishy going on all month.
The July blog hop, "Something Smells Fishy", starts Monday!

This challenge had me swimming through my stash for fish fabrics.
I had more aquatic fabric than I thought!

I can't wait to see what my fishy friends have made.
Come back on Monday, July 22nd, to dive for inspiration in our blog hop!

JULY 22

Joan at Moosestash Quilting will host the August blog hop,
It's A Jungle!
The link to what, when, and where can be found HERE.

My next blog hop is in October, "Something Wicked."
I think it doesn't take much imagination to know the challenge on this one.
Let me know if you want to howl, screech, or sew along on this one.

Scared Silly Boo-Along Coming Soon

"Scared Silly" Boo-Along begins August 1st!
I had so much fun creating Halloween quilt rows.
I hope you'll love them like I do!

FYI: A "Boo-Along" is like a row-along, but it's just for quilters who are crazy about Halloween.

We have a Facebook page called "Cackling Stitches" that shares Halloween projects.
"Scared Silly" rows will be shared on my blog and on FB so be sure to follow one to get updates.

Just Let Me Quilt

Starting August 1st, one or two rows will be shared each month.
There will be 12 rows of applique and/or piecing.
They will be a mystery until they get released on the first of each month.

The row(s) will be free the month they are released and then they will
mysteriously disappear and magically appear in my Etsy store for a small fee.

Here's a heads up on the fabric requirements for the whole quilt:
(The rows are great for those Halloween scraps of fabric hiding in your stash.)

The fabric requirements and patterns are written and designed using solids. They can be replaced with Halloween fabrics or solids in those colors. I used a combo of both. Start gathering your fabrics!

I hope you'll join me in this Boo-Along adventure!
