Jill Finley And Her Holiday Lane Pillow Pattern

When I was at the Garden of Quilts in Utah last month, I was walking by the Jillily Studio booth and noticed a Christmas pillow (Holiday Lane) in a corner. I was excited to see it because I had sewn one a long time ago during a blog hop.

The designer of "Holiday Lane", Jill Finley of Jillily Studio, was in the quilt booth so I got to meet her. She is just the nicest lady!

With the Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange coming up in December, Jill was so kind and said I could share her photo and link to the free pillow pattern (HERE) on my blog for anyone who wants to sew it for their project.  There is even a kit available HERE.

Jill's photo of "Holiday Lane"
It's beautiful and so sweet!

*NOTE: This isn't a have-to sew to be part of the Virtual Cookie Exchange. It's just an idea if you're looking for something fun to make. I'll be making one to share! The pillow I made in 2012 went to the Monkey Boys and family.

There were four little Monkeys sleeping on the pillow in 2012 when I first made the pillow.

The Monkey Boys became five in 2016.

He was mad about having to share the pillow.

All better...

Six Monkey Boys in 2018...not much room left!

I love these faces!

Monkey Girl definitely needs to be added to this year's photo. Move over boys!

Sew It-Show It And Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange

We were going to change up the blog hops a little and limit it to just 20 people, but we listened to
what some of you were feeling about it. Yes, we do listen! We don't want you feeling like you'll be
left out, so we won't put a limit (within reason) on how many join our challenges.

The challenges will be once a month for four days. We are so excited to see what you sew!

We've been challenging our blogger friends each month and they never disappoint.
The name has changed but we'll still be hopping around to see what you're making.

Sew It-Show It, we'll be looking for bloggers each month who want to meet our challenges
and share their creations. We love having so many of you be a part of our challenges!
Giveaways just might/will be included, too!

If you've never joined a challenge or blog hop, we'll help you learn what to do.
They are easy and you meet the nicest people.

I'm hosting another Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange!

You can share a recipe or not.
Share Christmas quilts or projects.
Tell us about your Christmas traditions.

Gremlins, Goblins And Ghouls Oh My

Joan at Moosestash Quilting has us shaking in our witchy little boots beginning today with her Gremlins Goblins and Ghouls Oh My! blog hop. Scary but so exciting to see all the Halloween goodies!

I went into gnome-mode with Benartex's Spooktacular Gnomes fabric by Andi Metz. The panel comes with the cutest gnome doll cut-outs! Instead of making dolls, I appliqued those scary, but cute, gnomes onto my quilt using ThermOWeb's Heat n Bond Lite Iron-on Adhesive.

53" x 56"

The fabric panel comes with fun add-ons of pumpkins, candy, banners, and a cauldron. You can add what you want...be creative!

This guy with the green nose looks a little Frankenstein-ish to me.

How cute are the braids on this gnome!

The gnomes were out of control on the backing fabric...so many freaky gnomes!

These are the Benartex Spooktacular Gnomes fabrics that I used in the quilt.

Spooktacular Stars White, 12803-09
Spooktacular Stars Black, 12803-12
Panel - Spooky Gnome Doll Multi, 12837-99
Magical Trellis Orange/White, 12802-38
Magical Trellis Purple, 12802-66 (binding)
Hocus Pocus Gnomes Purple, 12796-66
Halloween Party Gnomes Black, 12804-12 (quilt back)

You can find the free pattern for "Frightfully Gnomish" HERE.

Don't be afraid to check out these other ghouls to see what they made!

It won't be much different than our previous blog hops but will only be for four days.

It all begins in January with Carla hosting the first Sew It-Show It in 2023.
She'll be posting about it soon so watch for it at Creatin' in the Sticks.

Who's Looking At You This Halloween

Oh, my goodness! It's only a few weeks until Halloween...yay! This is my last project for ThermOWeb, but not the last time I use their fabulous products. I love Heat n Bond Lite EZ Print Sheets for my applique. I just run those sheets through my inkjet printer and I'm ready to go. No tracing!

Who's Looking at You?

The kitty is checking you out!

The bat is looking for a dinner bite...I mean date.

Who said he was looking at anybody!

You can find "Who's Looking at You?" in my Etsy store HERE.

Check out the ThermOWeb blog for incredible projects to make or sew!

We've decided to call it Sew It - Show It.

We've been challenging our blogger friends each month and they never disappoint.
With a new name, Sew It-Show It, we'll be looking for twenty bloggers each month
who want to meet our challenges and share their creations.

It won't be much different than our previous blog hops, but we've found that it's hard
for some people to visit so many blogs in one day. So...it will be just four days with five
bloggers each day. That means (sadly) that we won't have unlimited openings anymore.

Giveaways just might be included, too!

It all begins in January with Carla hosting the first Sew It-Show It in 2023.
She'll be posting about it soon so watch for it at Creatin' in the Sticks.

What blog hops are left in 2022?

Joan has this one happening next week...spooky fun at Moosestash Quilting!

Carla will have us rocking out with our projects and music!

Hello Autumn Scarecrow Quilt

After an incredibly hot summer, it is nice to see the temperatures dropping to levels that don't make us feel like we're melting. It is definitely time to say "Hello Autumn"!

52" x 60"

I used mostly Northcott Canvas from my stash for this quilt.

Pieced pumpkins

Appliqued Dresden and scarecrows.

I love using ThermOWeb products for my applique!

You can find "Hello Autumn" in my Etsy store HERE.

Check out the ThermOWeb blog for more fun projects like this quilt!
