Christmas In July And Riley Blake Designs Classic Christmas Too

I have had so much fun this week with Christmas in July Then and Now. There's been tons of amazing projects to see and add to our sewing lists. There's no way I could pick a favorite! The rules were to show something Christmas that was made now (this year) or "then" (whatever year.)

Sometimes my project days have to double up and this is one of them. Today I'm showing my Christmas quilt for Riley Blake Designs Classic Christmas blog tour and this blog hop. It's made with a panel that is so adorable!

I used Riley Blake Designs "Snow Flurry" and "Holly Green" in the borders.

I love all the puppies and kitties in this! The details are so bright and fun. Yes, I went picture crazy because I couldn't help myself with all that cuteness in the panel.

Look at all those sweet fur babies...love that Santa, too!

Quilting was done by Ginger from Sew Sassy LongarmThe swirls and bells were a perfect choice of quilting for this. Quilting on a panel can be tough because you don't want to cover all the sweet details in it. I love it!

The panel size is 36" x 43 1/2" and could be used to make so many beautiful quilts. It also comes in pillow size panels and three other large panel prints.

You can find directions to make this quilt HERE.

This is a Las Vegas style of Christmas...no snow even if it was December. That wagon wheel has become one of my favorite things in my backyard.

For more ideas using the Classic Christmas panels you can visit these two designers:

There's a giveaway today! I love shopping at Quilt Taffy and think you will, too. I bought a gift certificate to share with one of you.

Here's a few of my "then" Christmas projects...

Christmas In July Then And Now Blog Hop Day 4

Only today and tomorrow left in the Christmas in July Then and Now blog hop. I'm in awe of all the incredible Christmas projects. It's been amazing!

This blog hop is a bit different because with all the crazy things happening, it seemed like a good idea to give participants a little leeway with less stress when creating their projects.

Here's the rules of Christmas in July (then and now):

With life as crazy as it has been lately, show an older Christmas project
from "back then" or show something new...anything Christmas related.

You can make/show a mug rug, pot holder, mini quilt, baby quilt, bag, toy, etc.

Post your project on your assigned day and list the other blog hoppers.

Have a giveaway or don't have a giveaway. It's totally optional!

Visit everyone's blog on the list and leave a sweet comment.

Christmas In July Then And Now Blog Hop

It's finally here! I love having Christmas in July blog hops even when the temperatures are reaching 112-114 degrees here in Las Vegas. It's crazy hot! Let's just pretend it's snowing outside while we look over all the fun projects in the Christmas In July (then and now) blog hop.

New Blog Hop Happening And Blog Hop Coming Soon

It's a new blog happening at Creatin in the Sticks and I'm really excited about it. Seriously, don't you just love this button and idea! Visit her blog and sign up...you know you want to.

Carla at Creatin' in the Sticks and I take turns hosting blog hops for a couple of reasons.

1. I just love Carla and her creativity, so it's a no brainer to team up with her.
2. We each have different styles so we can bring you a variety of challenges.
3. Although we keep the blog hops simple, it helps both of us not get overwhelmed.

AND

Monday is the first day of Christmas in July Then and Now. Oh my gosh, I can't wait to see what Christmas ideas I can grab. The line up of bloggers participating are the coolest and most creative people. Be sure to check back on Monday!

Are you hanging in there with the strange events happening this year? Do you find yourself more creative or less creative with stay at home/don't go out orders, wear a mask, protesters/rioters, and natural weather events?

I find it hard to concentrate sometimes when I'm overloaded with all the news. That's when I have to turn things off and focus on something that makes me happy. Even if I'm not happy when I begin, it seems to help clear my head.

Take care and thanks for stopping by...I love your visits!
