What could be more exciting than taking a vacation to any number of National Parks throughout
the United States! Each park has their own treasures just waiting to be explored.
Riley Blake Designs is releasing panels for several different National Parks that are amazing.
Zion National Park isn't far from where I live and it's a gorgeous place to visit. I love going there!

You can find the PDF pattern in my Etsy store HERE.
We took a day trip to Zion for photographs of my quilt.
The day was beautiful, but a little bit windy.
There was no shortage of helpers to hold up my quilt in they wind...they were all so nice!
Ron's the best photo crew ever!
The applique blocks show a few things you might see or do in Zion.
"The National Parks collection by Anderson Design Group for Riley Blake Designs is great for quilting, apparel and home decor. This panel features a scene from Zion National Park.

My favorite iron-on adhesive for applique is Heat n Bond's EZ Print Lite Sheets.
I run them through my computer...no tracing!
It's time for an adventure...where do you want to go!
Your quilt is beautiful. You did a great job enhancing that panel and the quilting is over the top. It really added a special texture for the overall look. Congratulations on a job well done!
ReplyDeleteOh I love your quilt and I need to get my hands on the panels. The quilting is fabulous too! Envious of your photo op!
ReplyDeleteThis is a wonderful quilt, Carol! I need to get one of those Great Smoky Mountain panels. That's our favorite vacation spot and we go at least once a year! So peaceful - at least when you're away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist areas! LOL
ReplyDeleteJust gorgeous!!!! I love the quilting on this one too. Of all those panels shown, I have only been to Arches. But I have been to other National Parks and wonder if others will be made?
ReplyDeleteOh how fun...and I love seeing some “wildlife” blocks in there too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a gorgeous quilt. I like the quilting design on it, and your appliques are such fun! I've been to all those parks with my husband in our full-time RVing years, most more than once. I've also been to Yellowstone, and now I live in the Great Smoky Mountains. That first panel, with the road, would be so appropriate for me! Thanks for sharing the fabrics and your wonderful design. You have been so busy lately with Riley Blake finishes!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt, and photos.
ReplyDeleteLove these National Park panels and coordinating fabrics. Seeing Zion in person and your quilt there is quite amazing. Zion being our very close neighbor makes this quilt extra special.
ReplyDeleteThe poster style panels are beautiful, but I love your designs even more. I think it's fabulous that you live so close to Zion. You have wonderful quilt helpers too. Great photos! :)

This is a wonderful quilt! All those National Park panels are really neat. I haven't seen them around here yet, but maybe soon... You are fortunate to live close enough to take a day trip and be at Zion (or other parks)!
ReplyDeleteI hope I get to see some of these great places someday!
ReplyDeleteMy son is a park ranger at a National park, so when I saw this fabric I knew I had to make him a quilt, but I'm a TOTAL beginner. Thank you for bringing it visually to life for me! Heading over now to get your pattern!!
