46 Years With That Guy, But It Seems Like Only Yesterday

Time flies so fast that I'm having a hard time registering that it's been 46 years with
that guy of mine. It really does seem like yesterday that he left me anonymous notes
and a donut while we worked at Montgomery Ward. We were both so young!

I wasn't even 19 and I was walking down the aisle with him.

Then we started having babies...

...until there were four kids to make our family complete.

Or so we thought.

Six Monkey Boys later...

...and a couple son-in-laws makes for a pretty amazing 46 years.

Now we're just two old crows ready for more adventures!

Thanks for this life, babe!

It's Been A Lot Of Years

What has been a lot of years?
Being married 44 years to this guy...April 7th, 1972.

He planned the day.
It was his idea to go for a hike to celebrate our anniversary.
I thought to myself, "You're kidding, right. A hike?"
I thought going shopping for fabric was a better idea, but I let him lead the way.

The beginning of the hike...lots of lava rocks to step around and not trip over.

The path to White Rocks in Snow Canyon in Utah

There were only a couple plants with flowers, but they were pretty.

Really white, tall, and steep rocks at the end of the trail!

To make it perfectly clear...see those dots on the top of the mountain?
That is NOT us at the top of that mountain. Definitely not me!

3 daughters + 1 son + 5 Monkey Boys + 3 son-in-laws =
44 years and an interesting life with this guy.

It was a great day with the love of my life!

I've Been A Super Wife For 42 Years

Okay, so maybe I was not a super wife ALL the time,
but being married for 42 years
occasionally required some super powers to keep it all together.

Happy Anniversary to this guy and me!

More super powers are coming this week...watch for it!

What's Happening? Stuff...Lots Of Stuff

It's my anniversary, so I'll be doing a little
celebrating today. It's been 41 years... unbelievable!

The Say It With Flowers Blog Hop has had an amazing turnout
and I'm still working on answering emails...lots of them!
My anniversary is kind of important, so HE wins my time today.

I played with my new "toy" a little this weekend, but
I had four Monkey Boys hanging around so they were
just a little more important than that Light Scoop Deluxe.
This is Monkey Baby without using the Light Scoop Deluxe.
Notice how dark the wall is behind him. If someone were standing
behind him, their face would have been dark.
I just LOVE his chubby cheeks!

This is Monkey Baby with the Light Scoop Deluxe.
The wall is lighter which means that if someone were
standing behind him, their face would have been lit up, too.

This candle was taken without the Light Scoop Deluxe. The colors were
washed out and there is no depth to the rag rug below it
This is with the Light Scoop Deluxe
which gave it a little more warmth.

I definitely will use this toy, but I need lots
more practice and time to learn the best way to use it.

Tomorrow is the start of....trumpet sounds here....

It's the last day for my Follower's Giveaway, so if you
want to enter click HERE.

Dresden Carnival In Rikstacket

C heck out the Summer 2026 R IKSTACKET quilt magazine that my friend, Britt-Inger, sent me  from Sweden. It was such a pleasure and an hono...
