FLASH TO THE PAST OF VIRTUAL CHRISTMAS BLOG HOPS
I started the Virtual Christmas Blog Hop in 2013 (but skipped 2014)...so many great memories!
It started with just recipes, but expanded later to include Christmas projects.
My 2013 Recipe
RITZY CHOCOLATE MINT COOKIES
1/2 pound semi-sweet dark chocolate chips
2-3 drops peppermint extract
1 sleeve of Ritz Crackers
Some crushed candy canes
Melt dark chocolate over low heat or in a glass cup at 15-second intervals in the
microwave (stir after each 15 seconds.) Stir 2-3 drops of peppermint extract into
the melted chocolate (don't use too much peppermint--the 2-3 drops is plenty.)
Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each Ritz Cracker in the melted chocolate.
Place on a foil covered cookie sheet making sure they don't touch each other.
Sprinkle each chocolate dipped cracker with a small amount of crushed candy cane.
Chill. Eat. Enjoy.

My 2015 Recipes
I got a little carried away with recipes in 2015!
DOUBLE CHOCOLATE OATMEAL COOKIES
The Monkey Boys were always ready and willing to sample the goodies.
It's hard to believe this guy is 14 now...wow!
AUNT EMMA'S NORWEGIAN BUTTER COOKIES
CAROL'S LAZY NORWEGIAN BUTTER COOKIES
(for those of you who don't like to roll and twist the cookies)
Be sure to check back tomorrow for more of the 2024 Virtual Christmas Cookie Blog Hop
The blog hops have been so much fun. Thank you for hosting. It had to be a lot of work and consume a lot of time.
ReplyDeleteCarol, What fun recipes and now I am close to tears. I just looked it up and I first found you in 2017. That's sooo long ago and it's been a wonderful experience. The creative journey helped me up my game, my skills and even encouraged me to get more comfortable with using social media. I can't thank you enough. I wish you much love always. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. I hope you continue to create and live life to the fullest.
ReplyDeleteThese recipes are each so delicious! So many wonderful years you have hosted this fun hop. Will miss you gals...but I know you will be here!
