  2. The favorite tradition that comes to mind is stockings. Even though my kids are grown, I still hang their stocking on the fireplace every year & fill them on Christmas Eve. Makes them feel like kids again.

  10. My family has a large family and friends dinner every year and we play bingo or trivia to win prizes with the goal for everyone to take something home. The gifts are $7 or under, anyone can contribute and everyone who attends wins. last year my sister and I made so many handmade gifts we had plenty of extras. We usually have around 40-50 people attend.

  18. Hmm - I had to look up cookie quilt! What came up were beautifully decorated cookies! What fun! Would be great to somehow color marzipan and use that to make the cookie tops! It would then be a great project to make a table top with some of the same designs! : )

  22. First of all, you are amazing for coming up with this and getting it going. Funny story, when Amy Gibson came out with her book, "Quilt Block Recipe Book", my mom was visiting and picked it up thinking it was an actual recipe/cookbook. She was really disappointed but I just had to laugh. I actually wrote to Amy saying that her book had such great photo layouts and a companion recipe would have been a nice addition. Amy is busy giving birth to another baby and I see no follow up book in the works. However, you hit upon a fabulous idea for the holidays. Thank you so much. I am now following several new bloggers thanks to you. In addition, I am baking and gaining pounds...though I can't blame anyone but myself for that! Finally, I admit to being a little jealous that I'm not a part of this incredible virtual bake-off so I will now head over to my own blog and write my own post, as if I'm part of your very privileged group. Give me a little time, after I make steaks for dinner, and I'll have a post as well to my very few current followers. No giveaway, but a blog and facebook post with a great recipe, a shout out to you and of course, some quilting inspiration. https://thatfabricfeeling.wordpress.com/
Thank you for leading us in a great holiday mood booster with recipes to cherish for a long time. I wouldn't at all be sad to see a repeat of this for summer picnic salad recipes or another great time of year!!! Hint...hint...
