Grinch Green Candy Dipped Oreo's On A Stick

I love Pinterest and all the amazing cookie ideas I find there.
I saw the cutest Grinch green candy dipped Oreo's on a stick on one of the sites.

This Monkey Boy stirred the green candy wafers to melt them.

Ummm...I believe this would be considered a Pinterest Fail. The green candy wafers
never thinned out so dipping them was a disaster. I've never had my candy seize up like this!
Not so pretty!

The Monkey Boy helpers decided they were good enough.
They took their job seriously when bagging them up.

They look cute in the bags...not so much out of the bags.

In spite of the failed attempt at Grinch's on a stick, they were proud of their work.

They were Monkey Baby approved.

Next week there will be some amazing cookie recipes to bake and giveaways, too!

My Best And Favorites Of 2015

Cheryl at Meadow Mist Designs has a linky party going on for sharing our "Best of 2015"
projects so I thought I'd join in the fun. Lots of amazing quilts in the shared links!

One of my favorites was working on the EQ7 Seasons Row-A-Long. This quilt and the
process involved making it was both educational and extremely fun.

This year I was really into making heart quilts to show my love for the recipients.
This one was for a sweet guy battling cancer. I just love him so much!

Lorna at Sew Fresh Quilts made me go a little crazy with this Dog Gone Cute quilt.
I've always been a dog lover, so this quilt was my kind of project!

The owls on this quilt were so dang cute!
Margie at Ribbon Candy Quilt Company stole my heart with her sweet patterns.
This is my version of Hoots Hollow.

Ending 2015 with my favorite guy, The Grinch, was a blast. He makes me smile!
I created this quilt after seeing the Grinch hand pattern by Angie Padilla. The rest of the
quilt was created by me drawing and playing around with applique pieces. I "embroidered" his
face using my machine and one of it's special stitches. I totally enjoyed making this quilt!

Thanks, Cheryl, for letting me share a few of my best and favorite quilts.
Here's to 2016 and even more creativity for all of us!

The Grinch Is Back

I can't seem to let this guy go.
I probably never will.
Maybe because I have a little Grinch in me.
Yeah, I'm sure that's what it is.

I had some sewing time this weekend, so I...sewed.

I made four candy cane holders (or whatever you want holders) for gifts.

This is the back with little pockets to hold a dowel for hanging.

My sister already snatched one, but not before I could take a picture of it on my NEW BARN WOOD background she got for me. A friend of hers ripped it right off a real barn in Utah. I love this wood, though I have to credit Madame Samm for the idea. She has such COOL ideas, doesn't she!

Holiday Lane Blog Hop - My Day!

Are you up for some pillow talk
or a little Christmas inspiration?

You've come to the right place!
Special THANK YOU's go to these ladies:

Jill Finley from Jillily Studios is the designer of this pillow pattern
 AND
Pauline from Quilt n Queen is the hostess for Holiday Lane
 AND
Madame Samm from SewWeQuilt is the QUEEN OF BLOG HOPS
who comes up with amazing ideas and giveaways.

I loved making these pillows because they were easy and
allowed for lots of my own creative ideas.
Making the flange around the edges was quick, too!
It's been so much fun!

The Grinch is one of my favorite parts of Christmas.
This pillow went perfectly with the two Grinch quilts I sewed earlier this year.

The Grinchy Lane Pillow

What's this? A little Grinch coin purse?
(What can I say...they are so addicting!)
I made the pattern a little bigger so my fussy cut piece would fit.

The back of the Grinch coin purse

Last July, Madame Samm made me a set of bowls as a "Thank You"
for my work in the Bowls With Borders blog hop
which I made into a Christmas card holder.
It needed to have a few matching pieces, so.......
...I used matching fabric to make a pillow with a
row of houses and lots of fuzzy fabric.

The Fuzzy Lane Pillow
My five-year-old grandson said,
"All four of the Monkey Boys could sleep on this!"

(On a personal note: a new Monkey Boy
arrived exactly one week ago today.
I love being a grandma to four busy, busy boys!)

Of course, the pillow needed a blanket to cover
those sweet grandsons of mine.

I couldn't help myself...the coin purse frame was begging me to
add some fabric and make it into one of these cute purses
that matches the pillow and the quilt. It just had to be made.
