Sewing anything Halloween related is always a thrill for me, but combining it with other things I like is definitely a "Wowzer" moment! "Scaredy Cat" fabric is from Riley Blake Designs and was designed by Amanda Niederhauser of Jedi Craft Girl. Amanda used to design for ThermOWeb and is amazing at anything she creates.
ThermOWeb asked several of us designers to create a project using the "Scaredy Cat" fabric which was generously given to us by Riley Blake Designs, who I'm lucky enough to design projects for. Seriously, this is the best combo ever...Halloween, ThermOWeb, Riley Blake Designs, Crafter's Edge, and Amanda's fabric! Told you it was a "Wowzer" moment!
"Beware Black Cat" is loosely based off a famous vintage poster and was fun to create using "Scaredy Cat" fabric.
So much spooky and cute in this fabric!
Heat n Bond Lite Iron-on Adhesive is easy to apply and works great for applique. Trace your design on the adhesive or use the EZ Print Lite Sheets that don't require tracing. Just run your designs through your inkjet printer.
Oliso makes an awesome iron that's easy to love and easy to use!
The Crossover II is easy to use with the dies, but you can also use your Accuquilt with the dies because there is an adapter available. The triangles come in several sizes in one package, so it's easy to have just the right die for the job.
What's really fun with the fabric dies is the ability to fussy cut designs, like this cat.
Love your quilt. Isn't the image from le chat noire or something like that? The fabrics are fun too. Lucky lady playing with those fun prints.
ReplyDeleteYour creative mind blows me away at times. AND your creepy bunny still gives me the creeps.
ReplyDeleteVery cute, Carol! Love the Scaredy Cat fabric!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great cat quilt - and I love that grinning cat fabric!
ReplyDeleteThat is a fun quilt for Halloween and I like the idea of using fusible with machine appliqué.
