I finished the "Let Us Count The Ways We Love You" Quilt and it is now ready to go wrap up
a special person with all the love we have. The quilting is straight lines and the binding is blue.
The total size of the quilt is 54" x 68" and I added a little corner pocket on the back for love notes.
It was a beautiful day for taking pictures, even at 91 degrees!
The bad part was all the critter holes I had to avoid to get the quilt pic.
Yikes! Snakes, lizards, rats, or who-knows-what was living in those holes.
Luckily, the red rocks were especially beautiful so dodging creepy things was worth it!
Nice quilt, great pictures...they remind me of growing up in Arizona
ReplyDeleteGorgeous quilt and love the backdrop. Glad you braved the critters to take the pic!
ReplyDeleteI like the straight quilting on this one, really works beautifully.
ReplyDeleteI really love the use of colors and the negative spaces that sets it off, now i want to make one;)

ReplyDeleteGreat quilt, and I always love your settings for your quilts.
ReplyDeleteI know the recipient will love it and feel the love quilted in it! I pray that he feels at peace when he is covered in your quilt! It's beautiful!
ReplyDeleteYou are a braver soul than I am!!! It is beautiful and (maybe) worth the challenge of getting the photo.

ReplyDeleteThat is a beautiful heart quilt Carol! The quilting is nice and simple which makes the hearts stand out and gives a modern feel to the quilt too. I am sure this will be a well loved quilt.
ReplyDeleteCarol the quilt is stunning. The straight line quilting is perfect, but is the quilt actually resting on a barbed wire fence? What a brave soul you are.
ReplyDeleteI love this quilt...traditional and modern alll at once. Would be perfect for anyone, but especially for a teen or under 30- something. The hearts are so perfect...are they applique? Your choice of location for the pictures also suits the quilt perfectly. :)
ReplyDeleteThx for nice comment on my blog...I see you are in Nevada...still the West...still great for pix
ReplyDeleteWhat a great backdrop for those photos! Love the quilt.
