(i embroider all the time)I usually do letters in running stitch and that is insanely hard to turn sharp corners with for doing small letters. I like how it turns out, which is why i use it.Emily Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10330290875191349258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5716498262831849848.post-43018902626835933072013-01-18T08:52:30.693-07:002013-01-18T08:52:30.693-07:00I agree with above comment! And there are so many types of embroidery that people prefer...could be primitive, could be modern, could be precise, could be wonky...anything goes! So, smile, pick up that needle, and party! I would love to see the whole project...Lesleyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06156111116284534132noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5716498262831849848.post-13254633973478588742013-01-18T07:38:40.291-07:002013-01-18T07:38:40.291-07:00Carol you are way too hard on yourself. You got your feet wet and now you can practice and try other stitches and threads and needles, etc. until you find what works best for you. We all have our own personal preferences when it comes to the threads we use and the needle size, etc. So keep at it until it feels good to you.

I have friends who only piece because they don't like applique and that's okay too if you found that out about yourself. But I'll bet your first attempt at piecing a quilt wasn't as good then as you are now, right? So give it time and relax and enjoy the process and if it's not your thing, then at least you gave it an effort.Daryl @ Patchouli Moon Studiohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06187456682218408410noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5716498262831849848.post-17525196479464858832013-01-18T07:07:21.856-07:002013-01-18T07:07:21.856-07:00It's something new to you and that's a gre...It's something new to you and that's a great start to 2013! She selects strands according to what she wants to emphasise so might use just one strand for an outline but 6 if she is filling in.Tammyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18427894476200800816noreply@blogger.com
