It's Soft, Stretchy, And Cuddly Snuggles

Creating these soft, stretchy and cuddly snuggles with fleece and fabric was so fun, and I love how
Moda's Manderley fabrics by Franny and Jane totally made them a pleasure to sew!

I'm over at the ThermOWeb blog today showing you how I made them...check it out!

Sleepy Bunny Snuggle and Three Bears Snuggle

Sleepy Bunny Snuggle - Finished size: 14” x 15”

 Three Bears Snuggle - Finished size: 32” x 32”

Patterns were designed to be used with stretch and cotton fabrics,
but they can be made using only stretch or only cotton fabrics.
What you’ll need:
Fabric – Cottons, knits, fleece, and/or flannel
Embroidery thread

Therm O Web's new Heat n Bond Soft Stretch keeps appliques on knit and stretchy fabrics soft.
So cool!

I used Wonderfil Thread to quilt it...sweet thread!

You can find the patterns in Just Carol's pattern store at Craftsy.

It's An Eerie Night Blog Hop For Me With Giveaways

Halloween stuff is definitely spooky and creepy, which is why I'm loving the Eerie Nights Blog Hop.

I get so excited about Halloween!

There are lots of amazing and delightfully Halloweenish stuff being shared!
A HUGE thank you goes to
Marian from SEAMS TO BE SEW and

My whole family are huge fans of the television series
THE WALKING DEAD
We love, love, love it!
Yes, we are definitely a bit creepy. No, the Monkey Boys don't get to watch it.
We're not happy with the Season 7 opening show, but we'll survive.

With that show in mind, I created a Beware of Walkers wall hanging using Robert Kaufman's "Blood Type" fabric that I picked up while out shopping with my nine year old Monkey Boy.
He thought it was so cool!
Then I used my new-to-me Silhouette Cameo to cut out the shapes and letters.
They had WALKERS...better known as zombies...for downloading. That was exciting for me!
The Silhouette made cutting them out much easier!

These two chihuahuas might have been victims of walkers.

A little Deco Foil gave it the appropriate "bloody" look.
(The sun didn't cooperate to show off the shine, but trust me it looks bloody wet.)
I painted some Deco Foil Transfer Adhesive on the "blood", covered it with parchment paper,
and ironed it. After waiting until it was cool, I removed the foil. Shiny!

There's two giveaways...one from me and one from Timeless Treasures.

If you win the giveaway from Timeless Treasures, you'll receive a surprise holiday bundle.
Thanks Timeless Treasures for such an amazing giveaway!

I have a sweet little bundle of Deco Foil products for the winner of my giveaway.
(Check out ThermOWeb's blog for ideas on how to use it.)

All you have to do to enter my giveaway is to leave a short and creepy/sweet comment.
Giveaway ends at 12 PM October 28, 2016.

There's a Winner!

Where The Heck Is My Sewing Stuff?

I've been asking myself "Where the heck is my sewing stuff?" for the past couple weeks.
It's in the garage somewhere...key word "somewhere"...because I can't get to any of it.

This is what my sewing room looks like. The carpeting was taken out and the painting has begun.
We emptied the whole room two weeks ago to get ready for new flooring in the entire house.

The flooring is about two thirds done in the rest of the house, but my sewing room is last.
The flooring guys obviously aren't quilters or they would have known that the sewing room
should have been done first! I can't wait to get this whole mess cleaned up so I can sew again.

This is tile that looks like wood. I'm loving how it is coming together!

During the first week of ripping out carpeting and old tile, I spent a week with the Monkey Boys
and their mom and dad. It was a little cozy (to say the least) to sleep in a twin bed with the
three-year-old and both dogs. I think I slept a couple hours the entire week! Loved it, though!
It's nice to be home even if we're still kind of camping out until it's all finished.

These guys were interesting, but cute, to go grocery shopping with.
That shopping cart is so cool...the boys loved it!

The weeks before closing up my sewing room and moving the rest of the house out into the garage,
I was sewing like crazy to meet some deadlines.

There was the Road Home quilt:

The Boo To You Halloween quilt:

I think that pumpkin head looks sweet with the fabric flower bow:

A couple items for Therm O Web's booth at Quilt Market (can't show it all, yet):

This one just needs a label and binding for my niece's daughter.
She's into Andy Warhol art and she's only 12. The quilting was by Quilted Works.

I had the In My Garden Blocks almost finished, but I ran out of time.
The Eerie Nights blog hops is coming soon...I need to sew!

I need to visit all the blogs I've been missing, too,
because...YOU inspire me!

Boo To You, Too!

I love, love, love Halloween and all the creepy decorations that go with it.
I can't say that Blend Fabrics “Spooky Town” by Cori Dantini is creepy, though.
It is adorable and spooky all in one!

I made one of the panels into a small quilt/wall hanging and added a bit of Deco Foil
to give it some sparkle. Check it out over at Therm O Web's blog HERE.

I love this pumpkin's grin!

There's flower for her pumpkin head, too.

Road Home Row Along Quilt Show N Tell Day

It's been an amazing journey to visit all the different "homes" of various bloggers.
Thank you to Marian from Seams To Be Sew for gathering us all together!
Today is Show n Tell day of a few quilters who made their rows into a quilt.
I made a quilt with just four of my favorites. It was so hard to pick just four!

Since I'm no world traveler and haven't been to hardly any of those places featured,
I chose four rows that made me smile and were mostly applique, which I love to do.

Row 1: Road Home To Vegas is my row. I love that town!
You can find this row at my pattern store on Craftsy.

Row 2: Road Home to Heber Valley, Utah, on the Heber Creeper.
I've actually seen this train, which isn't really red, but doesn't it look great in that color!
You can find this row over at Deonn's blog, Quiltscapes.

Row 3: Road Home to Northern Rivers Region, NSW, Australia.
I've never been to Australia, but it looks just like the beaches I enjoy when I visit California.
It looks so peaceful!
You can find this row by Sue Griffith who posted on my blog when she shared the row, HERE.

Row 4: The Road Home to Albuquerque, New Mexico.
I have to admit I've never been to see this amazing balloon show, but I need to!
The pictures I've seen of all the balloons are just gorgeous.
You can find this row by Daryl of Patchouli Moon HERE.

The beautiful quilting on my Road Home quilt was done by Quilted Works
I was so happy with it!
