The Purple Dresden And The Garden

I've been slowly working on my purple Dresden as I make sure of all the measurements
in preparation of teaching some of my favorite quilty friends how to make it.
I can't wait to go hang out with them for a day of sewing!

For the first time in ages we have have a garden...whoohoo!
It definitely doesn't compare to some of those big garden people, but we're loving it.
Tomatoes, peppers, squash, zuchinni, basil, and strawberries.
Hopefully, some of them will survive and make their way to my kitchen.

Look! Our first strawberry!

There's a baby frog in there somewhere. Maybe I'll get a pic of it someday.

Hope your Sunday is peaceful!

  3. Wow! I love the purple for the Dresden! What are your plans for the center? Good luck on your garden. It looks like a manageable size. I kill everything I plant, so I don't even bother any more. Haha.

  11. Love your purple dresden, and I am envious of your garden. My poor little seedlings are just poking their little heads above soil. On the sun porch.

  12. Beauty of a dresden and I'm sure your quilty friends will love making one of their own. Happy gardening. It is so fun to eat what you've grown yourself. I am enjoying a little of my home grown asparagus for supper tonight and it's the best thing on my plate.

  13. I lIke! ... Some wonderful quilts in the gallery. The boots are my 2nd choice pick and the dresden with the applique vine is a close 3rd. I have pansies planted in all my windowboxes and hanging baskets. Our early bushes are flowering! We had to replace some roses that were winterkilled. Some of my perennials and the tops of my big rhododendrons took a bad hit, too. Lots of cleanup left to do in the yard. Then we are going to plant some tomatoes, lettuce, beans and summer squash. I love fresh veggies. Happy gardening ... :) Pat
