Volleyball Quilt For A Monkey Boy

I put the binding on the volleyball quilt yesterday and let Monkey Boy #2 know that it was done.
His response was, and I quote, "Awesome!"
I'll be delivering it to him tomorrow...I can't wait!

The volleyball net in our park is a little saggy.
Even the littlest Monkey Boy could hit a ball over it!

His label looks "awesome" on the back of his quilt.

My Day To Support You

When breast cancer strikes someone close to us we usually feel the need to do something.
Offering our support comes in many forms including a meal, a listening ear, a laugh, or whatever is
appropriate for the person in the middle of their crisis. It's all about them...as it should be!

Quilters have big hearts and willingly share their love by getting creative with fabric, so
Madame Samm at Sew We Quilt created the perfect hop to give us ideas for supportive creations.
Pat from Life in The Scrapatch is here to cheer us on. Thanks to both of you for this great hop!

I've been obsessed in love with the Alexander Henry Ghastlie Garden fabric that came out last
year and can't seem to get enough of sewing with it. With a little pink in it, I thought it was just the
right choice of fabric to use for my quilt and bags. I really do love those flowers!

A little zippered bag would be wonderful for stuffing with happy and positive thoughts
from friends and family. Madame Samm's little bra pattern just makes me smile when I see it!

Missouri Quilt Company has an easy tutorial for a zippered bag...HERE.

Hugs and Kisses For You!
I found this cute free pattern over at Windham Fabrics...HERE.

It was beautifully quilted by Quilted Works.

A big pocket tote bag would be helpful for filling with snacks or whatever for the doctor visits.
Making it big enough to hold a small comfort quilt would be even better!

I hope to see the end of cancer in my lifetime, don't you!

(The "We Support You" Friendship Quilt Pattern is available for purchase
for $12.00 by emailing Madame Samm directly at madamesamm@me.com)

Here's everyone who'll be sharing their creations and hopping during We Support You:

Thanks for stopping by!

Cough, Cough, Pause, Hop

Cough, cough, pause...that's what it's like watching TV with me this month.
I cough and my husband pauses whatever we're watching until I'm done. Ugh!
Kris at Kris Loves Fabric warned me to be careful not to "spear" my finger while sewing and
coughing. Luckily, that hasn't happened, but then again there hasn't been much sewing going on.

My furry footed grandson, RJ, knows how to avoid getting sick. Not a bad idea!

What little sewing I have been doing is for the We Support You blog hop that starts soon.

Madame Samm at Sew We Quilt has us all showing our support for Breast Cancer with this hop.

Pat at Life in the Scrapatch is cheering us on...thanks, Pat!

Here's everyone who'll be hopping:

Stay well so you can sew, sew, sew!
