Just A Round Trick Or Treat Bag

My friend needed a place to store his stash of goodies, so I made him a Trick or Treat bag.

I think he's warning you to back away from the candy.
He doesn't play well with others.

It's okay for him to reach for some candy, though.

The monster ghouls had their own bag, so he felt he should have one, too.

I didn't have any more of that RBD quilted cotton, so I made my own with two different fabrics, some
batting, and I quilted it myself using my favorite tool...blue paint tape...to make my lines straight.

The letters and cat from AccuQuilt's die cuts made a perfect "BOO" and cat.

I used my pattern that's on Craftsy (HERE) but without the extra pocket...easy!

I use this bag ALL the time for taking my sewing items on quick trips.
It's about 12" tall and I love the clear plastic pockets to show me where my tools are!

Now if I can just get my friend to share a candy bar or two...or three.

  1. Cute bags. Love your little boney friend! At first I was thinking where did she find such a huge skeleton and find the time to make a huge bag, because the grass reminds me of the tall grass around here by the road which is about 8 feet tall. Then I realized he is a Barbie alternative boyfriend size.

  4. Maybe all of that candy will put a little meat on your friend's bones. Cute bag for handing out candy to the kiddos... if he will let you borrow it.

I am loving Colette's comment about Barbie's alternative boyfriend...that guy's feet are especially fun to see :) Your bucket bag pattern looks like a great companion for a sewing retreat...I shall add it to my list of things that I would like to make after the great DW quilt adventure winds down!

  12. That is a really fun bag and cute idea for halloween.
We are lucky if we get the two neighbor girls, so we don't do any special.

  13. Fun fabulous round bags to hold lots of candy and/or supplies. I have used tape for the perfect size spacer for sewing. It is sew much easier than ruler and chalk or pencil lines. Happy Haunting Bliss...
