1st Day of Bowls With Borders AND My Bowls!

Bowls With Borders hosted by....
....drum roll, please....
ME!

We ended up with over 160 people from all over
the world participating in this blog hop.
Isn't that amazing!

This is my first time hosting and I'm loving it. It was a little challenging for me with the different languages involved and I learned that when "Bowls With Borders" is translated to German from English in Google Translate it reads "Bowls With Limitations." There are definitely no limitations going on here as you will see over the next two weeks. A big thanks to those of you who were understanding and kind about my Google-translated emails!
AND now it's my turn to show you
MY BOWLS!
There was something about this cute bowl pattern that made me want to stack those bowls higher and higher just to see how far I could go, but I controlled myself and kept them at a reasonable amount...sort of.

MY SPOOKY BOWLS
(I found the ghost at http://piecebynumber.com)

MY NANA'S BOWLS
These fabrics reminded me of colors that were in my grandmother's kitchen
I added some little pockets on the back so I can hang it or use it as a runner.
MY TULIP BOWLS
I love this fabric! It is Riley Blake's Lost and Found fabric which is sort of vintage looking like me.
The paper pieced tulip is from Charise Creates "Hello Spring" pattern
(just minus the flower pot) and I enlarged it to fit my bowls.

My head was spinning with ideas for the bowls, but I limited it to just three projects.
Whoops! Make that four....I couldn't stop the bowls
from entering my head.......so....
JUST ONE MORE

The front of my Laurel Burch table topper
The back of it

Enough about me....let the hopping begin!

August 13th
The little glitch was fixed--all links go

  175. Carol - Looks like "bowls" are addicting! Yours are so creative especially the Halloween one, but my favorite is the Laurel Burch. I have some of her creations myself: bird sweatshirt, earrings, cat earrings and I even made a cat "Tiles" quilt with her fabric, but you really "hit the mark" with your little quilt. Thanks for the inspiration.
